I'm sure this is an old topic that was covered once, but can't find any info on it and I'd like to know for sure. It feels like to me it takes longer to switch to your secondary weapon in Halo 3 than it did in Halo 2. Specifically I notice it when I'm trying to switch to the shotgun, sword, or hammer. Was this ever confirmed or was anyone ever able to test it? I feel like that was one of the aspects that made Halo 2 so fun, being able to land a couple mid range kills with BR or sniper, and then switch to shotgun at the last second to blow someone away just in time for the triple kill. Hoping this wait time is decreased a tiny hair in reach.

fear me, for i am pro sauce

it allways takes me ages to switch to sword or hammer and takes ages recovering from hitting something with it

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

Well the weapons your talking about are power/camping weapons. I noticed this when I first started playing Halo 3 and I don't really care. This is because they should take longer to take out since their so powerful.

you should be able to swing the hammer round as it is being equiped to cause a bit of dammage to surrounding players (freindly or not).

stab people with the swod while it is being equiped since the energy comes from the handdle.

shoot people with gunns that are being equiped but with a loss of accuracey.

power weapons take too long tpo equipe and reload/recover when used.
