Look at the demo pictures they are playing on wide screen plasma TV’s. Every time I see a picture it's a wide screen TV. So I say all votes are yes!

It's going to look good on a widescreen, supported or not.

even the first looks good on my 49" ws tv... it is beautiful even though it is short and fat but it still looks good and they have advanced the graphics so it will be better!

im hoping it will be supported, i asked frankie about it and im waiting for a response.

i was thinking it might not, because 720p and 1080i (video modes that are only available in 16:9) are not supported and i asked him why that was. it seems all the crappy games get the 720p+ :( and why wouldnt they want to optimize the graphics of halo2 even more?

if widescreen isnt supported then its probably because it would give an advantage to people in MP. but surround sound would do that also... so i dunno :P

i just dont want the MC to look fat on my 65"

That's why the new armor looks thinner. So when it gets translated to wide screen you won't notice the difference other that it being shinier.

ive played co-op on widescreen and its better of course because the tvs bigger, but i like the idea you put up, i would rather play co-op like that because it squares the picture up and everything wont appear streched, who knows this may be a feature you can toogle on and off to suit your tv.

According to Team Xbox, widescreen is supported. Go here:

Ya shouldn't have to ask that question, it's halo 2 for christ sake. It features Dolby Digital 5.1 surround man, why the hell wouldn't wide screen be supported.

The reason why it wouldn't be supported... One word... Halo 3... I will be in halo 3.. so you have to buy it for the widescreen...

For those of you who don't know... I am making Halo 3 up... don't get your panties in a twist if u read this and see that... A joke...
