Subject: Bizarre, mind-boggling visual glitch on Valhalla

The blue ones stick.

Perhaps this has already been addressed/discovered, but I thought I would bring it up anyway because it is just so strange. Also, searchbar did not help me.

The glitch goes something like this: on the cliffside near the ocean base of valhalla, one is able to get out of the map in forge using teleporters.

Once outside it, there is a piece of texture that when viewed with just 1 player in forge, does not seem like anything at all except a blank gray slate. However, if one has a second local player inside forge at the same time, if first player views that "blank gray slate", it is no longer blank but instead displays whatever it is player 2 is looking at (minus the HUD), like a live video feed. As player 2 moves, that "texture" mirrors that movement. When player 2 looks at this strange texture, you get a very screwed up paradox which may slow the game down.

I wonder if anyone else has found this? I'd post screenshots, but even if I go in theatre, it returns to being a gray slate. It's probably better if someone just vid caps the thing and posts it on youtube.

There is a loading glitch in Sierra 117 that creates a wall that behaves like this, I agree it is pretty entertaining.

In sandtrap go to those obelisks and go to the gravity hammer now look to the left there will be a crack look in it and if there is a second player it will show his every move.

So this isn't an isolated glitch then? The question I have, is what kind of coding would go into something so bizarre? The only thing that comes to my mind is someone recycled some previously written code and then forgot to change/remove parts pertinent to the second player's view.

It's funny when people don't read the whole post then type about how they already knew all about it.

Thanks, I'll have to check this out, it sounds kinda strange.

I got a video capture card. If you want, I'll capture the video and upload it to YouTube.

Are you talking about the area around the giant forerunner structure?

Btw, those cliffs make great emplacements for Wraiths and launching pads for Banshees and Hornets.

It is the area around the forerunner structure, and if you capped it that would be cool. Still want to know how the heck they even did something like that.
