Not sure exactly what was the problem, but Muff did have some problems with the way things were going, as well as some personal troubles. RIP Halomaps.co.uk

Me15ter did start a group for all the halomap people, you can join it if you want. The link is in my sig.

We've also got a new forum under construction - give me a little time to finish up the finer issues. When it opens it will be almost identical to the old forum with some new additions and many more ways to personalize.

As far as the website w/map downloads...when I heard the cost of hosting and the cost of the bandwidth usage of the old site I sort of fell out of my chair. We may have someone who could help fund it, but if the map downloads do return it will be a while.

It's all in that group. It explains why the site was closed, the future of the halomaps.co.uk community, everything. Give it a try and join the group!

on that thread each of us post all the maps we have.
That way when we see one we like we can contact each other and send it Via MSN/ICQ/Yahoo or even*shuuders*AOL

That's a shame Muff did a great job with that site. I never really got back into CE just enjoyed the community. CE is definately dead. I hope am Inspire finds his way back in here.

Sigh... Well, we do have to face the sad but true fact that Halo PC is indeed dying... But I guess it's something we've known for a long time. All we can do is give it our best effort to keep it together as long as possible, then set up Direct IP games (like how marathon is multi-playered) at certain times and dates when gamespy drops HPC.
