O_O you looked at your friends balls when "he" sat on your head O_o

1. Make you're group so that members have to be approved.
2. Look into their groups and make sure those groups don't promote anything bad.
3. Ask the founders of his/her groups if he has the reputation for spamming etc.
4. Give a questionnaire
5. Look at his profile.

this way, chances of spam and being taken over etc are virtually eliminated.

Join the Chapter Founders, and then post this thread in their forum. More people who need it will see it there.

Okay, so your average well advertised group has about 50-70 members, this would take a huge ammount of time to run through...

It is just better to be aware of people who have been known to conquer groups in the past.

Speaking of groups. Anyone want to join my group? You won't find a more professionally put together group than the LCP. Just message me and I will decide to initiate you or not. You could rise the ranks and become my Apprentice!

What could be helpful with the conquerers, is if there were a thread or something like a list of those who conquer groups, sort of like the cheater reporting thread...

You can't be too careful. The morale is "Never give ANYONE in your group Full-Control privileges." Even be careful about who you give basic moderator privileges to.

And then those conquistadors make another account that's not on the list, and bam! That group that lets him get powers, they're dust in the wind.

This is the Septagon, not the classifieds. People look for groups to join in the classifieds.

And what a nice bland explanation of your group, =D.

Um. Heres how you can protect your group. Don't give full control or power to promote to ANYONE.

I have an idea. Don't give anyone full control, and don't use "privs" as "rewards".

I've got another idea. Don't make a group, that way, no one can take it over.

Very, very true. I wish I hadn't made mine. It sucks. And I'll feel guilty if I just abandon it and leave it for dead.

Hmm i'd amend that to be:

Don't make a group if you can't accept bungie have no responsibility for your group or what happens to it, that way, you'll have to think before making
