Should apply only to general forums:  11%

Group leader's choice and applies to general forum:  61%

Should apply to both just not as strict:  0%

Should apply to neither:  0%

Should the spam filter be applied to groups, just the general forums...or both? Vote now!

I'm voting only if leader allows it..because I post very frequently on my group..and often it takes 1/2 hour to get out a few posts because of the spam filter. Infact I'm waiting for the filter to go down right now so I can post again...

It already applies to groups, I ran into it this morning.

With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.

The spam filter may be annoying, but it's necessary. I think Bungie keeps it in groups because people like to -blam!- about pointless things (I'm not saying complaining about the spam filter is pointless, just bare with me and I'll give you an example).

Example: Let's say the spam filter wasn't there. Some kid's parent might come by his computer and see these "horrible, nasty words." They could -blam!- at Bungie about it and Bungie would have to apologize... theoretically. With the spam filter, if parents see the words (which would mean that someone dodged the filter), Bungie can say that it's not their fault that some person didn't follow the rules, and thus the parents would have to back down.

I just think having the filters there keeps another load off of Bungie's back. Perhaps I am wrong... if so, then I apologize.

I think your are incorrect bro, the spam filter's purpose is not to stop profanities, but to stop people from posting in too much volume...perhaps Bungie has a bandwith issue?

Or they don't want people to spam the forums, maybe?

Yes but how often does Bungie.net receive spam bombs when you compare the number of posts blocked with the spam filter that are genuine to actual spam bombs...
