RESPOND TO MY RESPONSE!

Lag yes is based on someones host but one specific factor comes into play (distance) if you live in california and your trying to connect to someone who lives in england there will more than likely be lag. There host may not be at fault and that goes both ways. its just there is about 6k miles of land and sea between them so to connect them with no problems would require some sort of amazing servers (on both ends). i excluded mexican servers bcs i honestly think that mexico does not have alot of dedicated servers bcs of whatever reason i live in in the northeast and i cant connect to mexico well but i can connect to european countries better which pokes a hole in everything i said .but yea feel free to comment on what ive posted not something unrelated or my lack of 100 percent spelling.

RIP Logan ~B.B.

Distance doesn't matter on the internet. If you read Google's string theory of quantum electron relativity, you'd know that internet traffic acts like dropping a feather in a vacuum. No matter how far it has to fall, it always lands at the same time. The reason hosts in other countries are laggy is because of date and language translation. All the packets have to be routed through each country's translation de-modulator. That slows them down considerably, and you get game lag because of it.

In all seriousness though, I'm pretty sure no one capable of turning on a computer needs it explained to them that it takes longer to travel longer distances. At least I really hope that doesn't need to be explained.

This, and it also depends on the internet connections of the host/those connecting to the host.

Connecting to a slow internet connection doesn't help matters at all.
