2/15/12: Francisco Porras, I'll miss you. Rest in Peace.

Decide to kill Johnson? I mean seriously, WHY?! What was so bad about him. Personally he was one of my favorite characters. Who didn't like him?
P.S. I've known this so don't be like "OmG Ur TeH n00bz U jUsT BeAt Halo 3?"

All it took was a stew of whoopass.

'Cause he hugged an Elite.

I guess everyone has to die sometime. At least I can look forward to having him as a firefight voice in Reach.

It's supposed to create lots of emotion in the story since MC and him were good friends and have him die kind of creates this big emotional moment for MC where he has to leave his friend behind.

From a writers stand point it makes sense to kill him

Because they couldn't keep making plotholes around how he lived.

I mean, how the hell did he get off the first halo?

He'll return in Reach, and he was in ODST. I think they killed him, and miranda, to make the story more... "believe-able", so not everyone survives.

You get it?

I can tell u that MC and Cortana found Johnson in a cryotube floating in space after Halo blew up. But I can't really tell you how he got off, cause only Bungie knows that?

The 'hug an elite' ending was non-canon. It was intended to be humorous and was never part of the actual story. It never happened in the plot. Just a joke.

In the actual story, Johnson made it off with a few other people in a Pelican, then met up with Chief in his Longsword.

The legendary ending for Halo 4 is Masturcheef and Arby making love.

It's not complicated...just complete halo on legendary mode.

In the actual story as in one of the books? I haven't read any of them, nor do I plan to, but I HAVE beaten Halo on Legendary, and Johnson doesn't escape in a Pelican in the cutscenes. The last you see of him is when he hugs the elite, and the Pillar of Autumn explodes (Cannon or not).

It really sucks that Johnson died. He was definitly my favorite character.

I really wish he did not die.

Actually, Halo: CE's Legendary Ending is not canon. It was for Humor.

In Canon, he actually did get off the ring in a Pelican.

Go Reach.

Yeah, I've read all the books and beat all of the Halo games on legendary (excluding Halo Wars), I think Johnson was killed to create drama, the fight is now over and he served his purpose and he died fighting for his race.

Fyvshawthunda! Rated R DMR

Johnson needed to die. He had to much moxy. Can't have anyone stealin the chiefs thunder. Otherwise, his spartan laser would fire rubber balls. WHO WANTS A SPARTAN WITH RUBBER BALLS DEFENDING THE SPECIES? Johnson did. Thats why he died.
