For the last time, Original XBox Live has NOT been shut down, they are simply rejecting original XBoxes from connecting to the service.
What does this mean? It means:
*You're still paying for a service that no longer 'exists'
*They will never roll-out this alleged new infrastructure
*>100 Friends? On your XBox 360? Forget about it.
*We could still play Halo 2 online if it wasn't for Microsoft.
*It is possible to sandbox the service; so there really is no excuse for this.
*You've been kicked in the balls by Microsoft. Again.
*Money.
How can I prove this?
*Delete all Halo 2 updates.
*Attempt to sign in.
*Download updates from XBox LIVE. <-- See this?
