One thing (it sounds small i know, but some of my friends agree) that sometimes really bugged me in Halo:CE (xbox) was not having the option to change the sensitivity of the right thumbstick's (for aiming a weapon) x-axis and y-axis separately. I did not like the way the sensitivety of the x-axis was always much higher than that of the y-axis, and found this made aiming across at something on a diagonal more awkward than nescessary (especially after playing other first person shooters), as well as looking up and down too slow. Heres hoping this option will be implemented in Halo 2 as theres really not much reason why it shouldn't be. It can't be difficult or time consuming or do any other harm, and its there in most modern console first person shooters. I would find it much more enjoyable. Is there anyone else out there who shares my view on this?

Same here.

Besides, if they didn't already do it, it's not going to happen. All their doing now is polishing, no real new stuff is going in. (From what I've read, this is what it sounded like, if I'm wrong, let me know.)

Ya dude, i think that its just a personal problem. I suggest you get as comfy as u can with the original setup cause i don't think they will change it, one of the MLG testers said it was the same. I think your just S.O.L. :(

But implementing this option wouldn't do any harm at all for those (i'm sure theres a couple of others in the world) who are with me. And I can actually prove halos aiming controls aren't as effective as they could be but its hard to explain. i would need to demonstrate it.

I liked playing the original controlls but it would have been better if he could've looked up and down faster everything else was fine

Yeah I like to be able to look around quickly and usually play with quite sensitive controls but like to be able to look up and down quickly too, not just left and right.

Well if people chose different sensitivities then people may have an advantage over slower ones. It was bad enough in Halo 1.

thats the fault of the people who choose their aiming to be slow

Exactly. There was no problem in Halo: CE ash, if you set your sensitivty lower than others, it's your fault for not getting better at higher sensitivity. I play at 8 and do just fine. It would be a good idea to be able to custimize y-axis sensitivity as well. I agree with Olly on this one. They already did it for Halo: PC, so I don't see any reason why it won't be available for Halo 2, Olly.

I use 8 sensitivety too. Variable sensitivety means once you get better you can increase the sensitivety and aim faster further increasing your marksmanship ability.

I just use default 8. I don't try to improve my game by tweaking stuff like sensitivity, it's against my rules. I like to play the game how it is already, and then whoop my friends.
