What is it with quite allot of Halo (obviously other games too) players being so abusive. IN the past two days i've had numerous idiots on my team being incredibly offensive other minor issues. I've just started playing this game after over a year (due to a damaged disc, just bought ODST for multi player last week)and suffered all manner of abuse whilst trying to get back into it.

One guy just started calling someone a 'poor retard' because he didn't have a mic yet he, the one slanging abuse, was the worst player on the team. Others are just plain abusive other the most stupid minor things..

What is wrong with some of the gaming world nowadays!?

Try-hards, Americans (for me anyway, apparently being British means you have bad teeth), MLG wanna be's, CoD fanboys, PS3 fanboys (No joke but some guy had a gamertag called 'Xbox_sux-PS3_rox' or sumthin like that and started killing everyone on our team) and of course, under 13 year olds =)

The Halo community is actually the worst I've ever been a part of. Do as I do, mute your team or play with friends. Bliss.

I shoot to thrill and I'm ready to kill, I can't get enough and I can't get my fill...... yeah !!!

Most or all of these little -blam!-s are wimps in real life and can get away with it online. You can bet your ass none of them would say it to your face for fear of getting punched in the mouth.

Ooh, I love those people, the ones who decide to throw everything and the kitchen sink at you, as if an M16 does anything to a T-90. Oh, MLG player with noobtube instead? Congrats! You blew off one of my ablative plates!

Gun, meet Bad Guy.

Because they have no ability to be part of a team and they forget that the mic they have is for call outs.

a mic isn`t only for call outs

infact it wasn`t even made for call outs

"It is not a goal, but a process. The process of creating the perfect world."

It is much easier to harm someone when you cannot see their face or have to deal with the consequences of your actions. Some of these people just get angry and forget to vent their anger elsewhere. Others do it purposefully the way trolls do on forums. Finally, some people just act that way, even in real life. It's unfortunate, but true. Unlike these forums, terrible social skills typically do not result in a ban.

Not all players are like that; I got destroyed by a party of Generals once, but they were kind about it and thanked me for staying in despite the odds. The reason nicer players go unnoticed is because the ones spewing verbal garbage are louder.

Very true! One person offered me out for a fight, i was laughign my ass off as its ridiculous to think that 1) i'd fight over a game 2) i'd fight at all 3) you've never seen me and don't know how big i am and 4) its just pathetic!
