if u have only one cable for your internet right now u have to buy a router which splits the internet into 4 spot for four things if u wanna use it for 4 things. u plug the internet into the router and through the router u can connect your xbox your pc and two other internet things

u don't connect your xbox with your computer u connect your xbox to the internet! U have and internet modem that has a cable that goes directly to your computer.instead of taking that cable to your computer u put it in a router that costs about 50 bucks american. that splits your internet from the modem into 4 slots. u can have 4 different cables with internet now.one for xbox, one for your pc and 2 others for anything else! but u can get better routers that are wireless and more slots than 4.

If u have a usb modem set up a LAN, and connect through that. Thats how i do it anyway.

no, just plug the usb into ur comp. and then run a ethernet cable from the comp. to the xbox and presto. oh and you have to set up connection sharing on ur PC

....compusa, cirtcuit city...etc...etc..you name it.......u can also buy them online....i personally prefer the wireless connection...i have one setup..its easier and no strings attached, i had to buy a special router and wireless adapter for that though..which was kinda expensive BUT hey...you can play anywhere in your house...crap...even outside around your house (although i never really tried), i use all linksys hardware, the router and wireless adapter

Ethernet cables. You can't use the USB cable. I have a usb cable going from my cable modem to my PC, and an Ethernet cable going from a different spot from my Modem to my Xbox. What kind of Modem do you Have? I have a Terayon Tj 715. Just look on the front of your Modem.

get a 10/100 ethernet card and hook uyr xbox directly into ur computer xbox live will automatically congirgure your system for u after that you can also play xbconnect and stuff

a 10/100 ethernet card is like a card for a phone line in the back of your computer but it is much bigger. The cable is the same type of cable as a system link cable (system link cables are a little better than the normal ethenet wires i suggest using one of them)

BS i have wireless and it wasnt easy for me i had to set up pass codes all this -blam!- and everytime the power goes out for a long time i have to redo everything

but i have to set this up on 6 computers so its a little harder than just one wireless

also if you get wireless make sure to use a G router cause even though most internet services will only give you 10 mbps with a G you get 54 mbps which is a whole lot better of a connection than the regular B router (11 mbps)
