Try restarting your modem/router. If that doesn't work, reset it to factory defaults.
Failing that, call your IP ask them to fix it, then email / call microsoft and tell them what happened and give them his gamertag.

My guess is that he is hitting you offline, unplug your router and modem for about a minute and plug it back in. You should have a new ip.

If he would have hit your modem, then you wouldn't be able to be on the internet at all. Anyways,DDoSing is illegal so write down his GT and get ahold of your internet provider. He was probably just using bots so if he did hit you with bots, then you should be back online in no time. If he used Unix...you have a problem.

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

Take the modem out, leave for a few minutes, plug it back in.

Ok,
#1 There is no "Service" being denied - common belief on this forum but there will be no case here as the OP does not provide a service, there is no loss of income, nothing. Report it if you want but be prepared to fill out a LOT of forms and have nothing done ;)

#2 XBL & Halo use UDP - good luck following that trail with any reliable outcome.

#3 "If he used Unix" - this one I just loved.
You claim DDOS, yet talk about HIS os ... so in a "distributed" (ie more than just HIS machine) the os of the one machine matters how? Even if running off a single machine why the worry of Unix (in is MANY forms).
Please enlighten us all with this gem of advice ;)

Plus this guy has been hunted by the FBI for over 10 years, legal costs worth 100's of millions ... LOL.
If only he had used an open rdp site or an anonymous redirect he would never had been found.
