My name is niceboy117, and yes I did just say niceboy, and yes 117. It might seem like obsession, but Halo is awsome, am I right, but 117 happens to be my favoite number or any number that has a combonation of 1s and 7s.
The assault rifle to me seems to really excel at close quarters more than midrange. Now I know that a lot you think that close quarters is like 5 feet in front of you, but really close quarters can sometimes fall into the 100 feet engagement range.
An assault rifle is a weapon is suppose to get the job done in most circumstances, (mid-range, close-range, and long-range.)
The assault rifle does not have a separated bore, or free barrel from the body of the weapon, and has more of an SMG design.
The impact of one bullet does not seem to have the muzzle velocity and power of a rifle round but more of a subsonic pistol round, and has no semi-auto capabilities.
And how the magazine loads behind the receiver of the weapon makes a longer barrel witch should improve accuracy and muzzle velocity, like a rifle.
-------
Now the "Battle Rifle" can do all of those things, get the job done in every situation, long, close, and mid-range, like an assault rifle should do.
The impact of each bullet resembles that of a rifle round.
And again the loading behind the receiver makes the barrel longer and adds more velocity, range, and accuracy.
It has a free barrel design like most assault rifles.
------
In conclusion, I think that the "Battle Rifle" should be titled as an assault rifle.
And the "Assault Rifle" could be retiled as like a subsonic rifle, or assault rifle cqb barrel.
