Subject: Anybody else experience this?

I can Haz :D

I've had install my copy of the Halo 3 multiplayer disc because it's been deep scratched by my xbox a while ago... I'm wondering if it's causing me to lag up in-game? I remember reading before that it can lag you... But I've always been A-okay connection wise... There's been times where I've lagged in game, but not in party chat... I've tried being the only one using my internet and still get lag. I'm using a BT home hub 2 and the standard wireless adapter for my xbox (Not the wireless N)
So can any body help?

THere isnt much you can do with a scratched disk. Try putting some car wax on it and rubbing it in to fill the scratches. That or turn it in for a new copy. BestBuy will give you a free trade in usually, they did it twice for my brother.

Well basically I had to buy an elite for the bigger harddrive... But it was my xbox before, and Halo 3 wasn't the only disc that's been scratched. And if I could level the floor boards, I would. And it's the conditions that's causing the xbox to do such a thing.

Well dude, the xbox is on a flat surface... It's the desk that's off slighty...

I Don't like to butt in but i have had this before too its if the xbox is nudged or pushed at anytime while a disk is in while active i've just gone downtown to blockbusters and just had it repaired for about £3 :)

Your Xbox isn't putting deep scratches on a disc it was specifically designed to use.

Try putting it back in the case next time. That's why they come with one...

ORLY!???!??!?!?! Stop acting like you know everything when you CLEARLY don't.

Don't use wireless for your 360.

It's too scratched to do that...

I admit the wired is alot more effective then the standard wireless, im using the wireless adapter #2 the black one with two rods haha might help if you plug it to your modem but also i would like to say i dont really like it in forums as when people ask for help some people just re-act inappropriately then they should so they over-react to the situation haha.

Ok, fine...

Your Xbox isn't putting deep scratches on a disc it was specifically designed to use. Unless you are stupid enough to tilt the -blam!- thing while its running.

Happy?

No, because you're still sounding like a dick and assuming he did it on purpose. He already said it was resting on an unstable surface, yet you think he tilted it on purpose? Whatever, I'm leaving this thread. To help you out, I'm pretty sure they said downloading it would make SOMETHING slower...but I can't really remember what that something was..lol XD

Nope dude... I'm not happy with the way you're accusing me of doing such things... I've not tilted or even moved my xbox when playing games...

Ok my advice to this situation is make sure the xbox isn't moving whilst active kk and i admit r3x you are acting abit childish about this thread why do you have to be mean to everyone when clearly all they need is abit of help sure im new to bungie.net but still this is why i don't forum because people like you don't help a dude out xD.

Well all i've got to say now is keep your comments to yourself and behave :P.

If I posted a thread complaining about how I wrecked my disc with an easily avoidable set of circumstances, I'd expect to be flamed too...

And you guys should try reading...I said he should MAKE A SUITABLE SURFACE TO PUT HIS CONSOLE ON.

I never said he was picking up his Xbox while it was running...

I know I said I was leaving, but, shutup. Lol I don't know if you noticed...but this thread wasn't initially about him scratching his CD's. Go ahead, re-read the OP...I'll wait...

It was about his connection.
