"Shutup dude you're like 42 years old"

Just wondering what the point of push up to talk is. Unless you are using the walkie talkie control setup, you have to stop moving just to talk to your team. I don't see why it is even needed. Discuss.

Maybe they thought that 8 people all talking at once without some controls would be too chaotic? Dunno.. I'm so used to it that I sometimes find myself accidentally PTT'ing in non-BTB games.

id prefer that it wasnt necessary, but i dont play enough game-chat BTB to care

Why would you have to stop moving? lol

Because I, and probably most people, use my left thumb to move both the left analog stick and to click the D-Pad.

I hate the push up to talk.
So pointless.

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

Yeah I find it annoying, barley anyone in the game even has a mic. So it hardly matters.

Wait, what? All you have to do is tap it once and you can keep talking. After your mic stops detecting your voice is when you have to push the d-pad to talk again. I'm pretty sure anybody can talk the split second it takes to move their left thumb to the d-pad and then back to the joystick again. It's not that big of a deal people.

You need to take your finger off the AR spraying trigger for a fraction of a second to hit the up button, then you can talk for a long time.

Not that hard.
You press up on the D-pad with your right index finger? What the hell? That would take more time than to just use your left thumb.

It's needed because it saves bandwidth in larger games like big team. Basically, it keeps everyone from sending 16 signals at once in the game and using up valuable resources that could be better used to keep the game running smoothly.

wait I can still re-roll on my saving throw!

well I have no problems with it the trick is use your left index finger on the left thumb stick and then the left thumb can hit the D-pad and better still you can still toss Grenades at people useing your middle finger another way is a bit tricky but possable useing the right hand.... rest your right index finger on the right thumb sick and you can look left or right... and at the same time you can still tap that D-pad... and not only that you can even use the little pinky finger to shoot with....

note the the right hand metherd is a little weird to use

there we go hope this helps a litle
