Alright, my problem is pretty simple. I can play certain MP maps like Coagulation, Terminal, and a couple others with a perfect FPS, while in other maps like Burial Mounds, District, Backwash, and plenty more, I get lag. It is not my PC hardware because it is all 100% functioning and my specs blow H2V's requirements away. It also can't be other players, because I still get lag on those maps if I make a network game. Any help is greatly appreciated.

My Youtube - Halo 2 Online Co-op
BUNGIE AND MICROSOFT FAILS HALO 2 VISTA.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Halo 2 Vista is a very unoptimized p.o.s which neither company admits their mistake, Bungie and Microsoft have ignored this game since it was released.

Although Halo 2 Vista is still supposed to be supported with updates, Microsoft chooses to ignore their own policy.

Okay, great, but I don't care about it being unoptimized. It is good enough for me, and this lag problem just started a few days ago...

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Same problem here. 60+ FPS on UT3 maxed, constant. Massive FPS drops in H2V on some maps (particularly Turf). It can't be fixed. Buyer beware.

Yeah, Turf is one of them. But I'm sure there is a solution...

lol.
I get this problem too, I am supposed to get 60 FPS for Vsync, but then it drops down to 40 FPS, and stays like that until I change from Windowed to Fullscreen and back again.

You know where else I see this kind of behavior? Running Halo PC on WINE. Maybe all Hired Goons did was write an emulation layer, hack the menus a bit and called it a day.

ha, it seems you always make the funniest insults to company names.

I only get it on District and it's not even a frame drop to me, it's more of a "stutter" if I stop moving and just look around everything is nice and smooth again lol.

It makes you wonder what they did that whole year (is it a year?)

They had Halo 2 made for them on a plate, all they had to do was upgrade it, and it shouldn't have taken long for campaign, multiplayer, mainmenu and shared maps being upgraded.

Pi Studios was doing the H2EK, so what were HiredGoons doing with all that time?

This is the average H2 Fanboy.
Xfire: JacobGRocks.
50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

Turn off VSync. Your mouse will stutter, but you will fix the FPS issue. Of course, if you use a controller, not only will it not stutter, but you will also get a free aimbot that is undetectable.

Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphors have two parts : form and interpretation; of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom being the briocoleus, the mason.

Polycounts and drawdistances, they didn't use any tricks, or your specific hardware isn't completely supported.

It was a subpar port on a subpar operating system, that's all that can be said really.

Posted by: THORSGOD: Nor is he ever early. He arrives precisely when he means to.

I get stuttering on certain campaign levels... definitely not FPS. It stays at 60 constantly. I have 7 Ultimate x64 running on a Core 2 Duo E8400 (3.00GHz), 4GB RAM, and a GeForce GTS 250 (1GB GDDR3). I haven't tried many MP maps yet. Installed for the first time a week ago.

The stuttering is actually always there, just bearable, but pretty terrible on some campaign levels. It does not happen when I look around, or when I walk. When I walk and look around at the same time (like how do you play without doing that?), it stutters! Drives me nuts!

Unrelated (I think), enemy corpses jump around a few seconds after falling to the ground dead in campaign. Physics fail. That's what usually happens in Halo 3 matchmaking, not single-player campaign!

That's basically what I have, and I get it (stuttering) on "Sacred Icon" campaign level.

Just checked. Yep, I get stuttering worse than possibly all other levels on Sacred Icon. There are others it's bad on, but most of them, not so much. It is always there though. I hate it!

What are your specs?

Sorry, forgot about this thread.

I get the feeling it's either the x64 OS's, or certain Nvidia cards... I hope there's a fix...

It could be the video card like you said because I ran it on another comp and the maps ran smooth.
