Subject: Halo 3 custom infection: good times montage

Hello everyone,

I'm here today to ask you, the community to help me with a montage I'm making. I'm making a montage to commemorate the great times we all had playing custom infection games which, in my opinion, was the most fun I had in Halo 3. No doubt it will be even better in Reach!

I'm making a list of gametypes/maps that will be featured in this montage, and I need your help to come up with a list of the most popular/played/fun gametypes or maps that were prevalent during Halo 3's main lifespan. The "Classics" if you will. They do not necessarily have to be the most balanced (*cough*fatkid*cough*) just memorable ones that most people will have heard of and played.

Here's the start of my list:

Omega Journey (can anyone name any particular version they particularly liked)

Jenga (not my favourite, but it was very popular which is why I'm including it)

5 chambers (probably hands down the most fun I've ever had on a video game: instant classic)

Lost tomb

I will add more as I remember them or you guys suggest them.

Also important: can anyone please give me the original map/gametype creators?

Thanks all.
Timgie out.

Nothing to kill, anything to survive.

Oh god, back before I played matchmaking, I would just play infection with my friends. We'd get so excited over it back then. Like being one of two people left alive in a 16 player game, defending off a house with one entrance, then realizing you aren't going to make it out alive, so you literally ditch your friend and get out of there, leaving him to fend for himself. But halfway out the door you think "I have an Idea"
and you turn and yell "CoolDown!" (friend of mine) "Let's go."
he'd turn, stare, and then just know. Running out, shotgunning the endless horde, straying to the hallway of Foundry, ten seconds left on the clock, the building we were just situated in, now infested with zombies, unaware of our presence. They all come rushing out of the building, seeing us and charging towards us. Five seconds left, everyone screaming at the top of their lungs, in attempt to sway us from surviving the final stand. And with four seconds left, I make it inside a room where you close it off with a barrel, and it takes zombies a good thirty seconds to break through. My friend turns, and screams as he gets slashed by a zombie "GO ALONE! I'M DONE FOR! COME GET SOME, ZOMBI-" I stand back, listen to them all screaming and laughing at my epic standoff.

DAMN those were good times.

I know exactly how you feel. Incredibly fun, good times *sheds tear*.

Do you have any "classic" gametypes/maps to add, any original creators you can remember?

My friend thought of a brilliant idea, and that was to take fat kid, but turn every zombie into a fat kid.

Basically what you had to do was, evade the one zombie for as long as you could. Like a controlled infection. But once there were two zombies, time became more and more of a factor. Zombies would get more difficult to avoid, thus creating more zombies. By the sixth minute in the seven minute gametype, two to three people were left, constantly seeing zombies, turning around, running away, and finding new ways to get around them. Humans usually win about 3/10 times.

Sounds great, I'm just trying to get the classics that pretty much everyone has played though.
