After canceling my xbox live account last year and having just created a new one, I had to get a new gamertag. But of course there was no way to link my new tag to my existing passport, so I had to make a new one. But now of course there doesn't appear to be a way to change my passport for the my b.net account. Bungie, if anyone is listening, is there anyway I can do this or will I have to create a new b.net account with a new user name as well? I really don't want to do that...

3.4 "Unlinking" Your .NET Passport

Generally speaking, it's not possible to "unlink" a .NET Passport once it has been associated with your Bungie.net account. If you accidentally screw up during your Bungie.net account creation or decide you want to switch to a different account, there's not much you can do. In some cases, it may be easier to just create a new .NET Passport and start fresh, but this is not always a desirable option. In special cases, the Bungie.net admin team can assist in these matters and "unlink" your .NET Passport from your website account. To make this request, send an email to bnetbugs@microsoft.com with an explanation of your problem.

Well, I don't want to put any more trouble on Bungie's back. So, allow me to introduce you to the new me. Thanks for your help, Surge.

Why not? I like Shinatama, and it kind of suits my self-declared title.

Lol. It's all good now guys. And I have two accounts because I'm special. But if Bungie wants to delete my old one, and wipe out that particular part of my memory, that's fine by me. Well, not the memory thing, but I couldn't hold off on using that line.

You're not the only one with two accounts, well... we all know there are spammers with some dozen blacklisted accounts. But Crimson Kenny, above you has two accounts (well three really, but one is dead) and he uses both. He's also Captain Kmart.

This is my one and only account. As a founder, it would just be too much hassle going back and forth between them, so I can see why some would bother getting Bungie to unlink it.

Go to Xbox.com and click on Xbox Live, and then My Live. Then you'll see a link saying Link My Gamertag, click that a fill the information in!
