We have a new button in our profiles, "Allow people to send me chapter invites." That way, even though it won't stop the invites, you won't feel bad when you report their asses (I always would feel bad, so I never do).

Devil is Double is Deuce and Joker always trumps Deuce.

Kind of like the friend requests option at rvb.com. I dunno, let's let the web-team finish the search system first...

You have to have a seperate PMing system designated as group invites then... to prevent accidental blocking of proper PMs...

-Quaere verum.

Got a report? Use the report tool or send a pm.
Chairleg Productions presents: 'Console Wars' and 'Games as Art?' (also on Halo Waypoint).

How many people do you think would even bother looking in that pm system? and how many people do you think will spam it up? i know what my opinion is.

As far as Rip-Saw's idea goes, it could be a good idea. It would need to be correctly impliamented though to check that people aren't able to spam by using it constantly for the same group.

I just delete them and don't give it a second thought.

I also try to find something wrong with the way they are asking me. I'll usually tell them, "Cool, but you didn't tell me one thing about your group.".

I have a problem with saying no....... I just cant say no, its not in my blood. So then I end up leaving the group and geting a PM saying "WTF".

I'm in 7 (ironic) groups as of now. I only post in about 1 of them. Maybe I should go leave the ones I dont post in......

Yeah, but I've been getting some really well written invites lately. Links, info, even "Join and see if you like it, you can always leave." It's on a level of politeness I cannot be angered at.

I'll be on my own side.

I've been getting a lot of invites lately. They always start out with "I noticed you're very active and helpful in the forums.......we could use members like you....." or some variation. I tactfully decline them, but it is rather flattering.

I just ignore them, simple.

I assume who ever is copy/pasting the invite to loads of people wont even notice if i dont reply.

Yeah, I usually tell them that they have to make 7 good reasons for why I should join... Not one have passed so far.

Same goes for Friends requests on Live, except they have to know the 7 laws. It hurts whenever I hear someone fail in them...

Just as a note to all of you potential group founders. If your group name contains anywhere in its name ODST I'm not joining. ODST parachuter, ODST batallion, ODST Oompalumpas, Spartna ODST, Panamanian ODST. Stop.

With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.

Rip is back!

YES!

I'm not that active, but never dead.

On a note related to this, I would enjoy an "ignore this person" option next to "Msg User". It would make it where I no longer see posts by that person. I'm sure that it would be well received by forum goers.
