I'm having some odd issue with Halo PC. I can play the Campaign without any problems but whenever I try to play Multiplayer it crashes. It freezes and if I can make it to the menu than the menu will be covered by the texture of the Halo ring, full screen and with the music. Odd. Sometimes if I can actually play it, it looks like weird polygons popping up. I know my video card isn't over heating.

v1.09
Windows xp SP3
9800GT w/ latest drivers

Should I try older video drivers?

Update.

I tried older video drivers but that didn't seem to work. I have no idea what could cause this, I've also tried reinstalling Halo and I can't seem to get a fix.

Weird, XP runs Halo best, have you tried reinstalling it?

Perhaps somnething went wrong with installation or updating. Try reinstalling and updating.

I've seemed to have figured out the problem, as odd as it sounds these errors seem to have been caused by having visual sync disabled in game. I've yet to have any problems since.

Should this be looked into?

PNY GeForce 9800GT 1GB
nVidia Display Driver: 258.96
Windows XP Media Center Edition w/ SP3

Edit: I'm confirming that it is the vsync that is causing the issue. I've done multiple tests with it enabled and disabled.
