I see this whole issue with one simple demeanour, we are all good at some things, and not good at others. The fact that someone would be good at Halo 2 doesn’t mean they can go and call someone else bad at it when in fact that person may be bad at Halo 2 because they are the best Dawn of War player who ever lived. Or say someone is not every skilled at using computers and can't work his way around a forum if his life depended on it, and is flamed by someone for that? That someone who got flamed could be the world's greatest chief and makes awesome dinners for cool people, and the person who flamed him wouldn’t know how to make macaroni and cheese let alone any meal.
All such behaviour is immature at the least, and all that it tells me about people is their lack of maturity and or hightened level of selfishness. In a nut shell I see it as bullying, and I think that has to brake some of the rules.
But ignorance is not a punishable offence, if it was however, we would all be guilty of it at some level or some point in life.
I want to go into a philosophical debate on the matter but I'm just too busy at the moment to do so. And to tell you the truth, I don't care if anyone would understand it even if I did write it, because I am not good at cooking. :D
