*sigh* i bring this subject up because i think out of all the years ive owned halo... ive never experianced what i just did today. i went on legendary, went to two betrayles... and almost gave myself a heart attack. on the bridge where the flood and the covenant duke it out, i hit the most perfect combo. ok, first i walk on out with a pistol, AR, couple of human grenades, and a plasma grenade. first thing that happens is a destroyed banshee crashes right in front of the door! then a flood (human i think) jumps out from behind the banshee, and it jumps right at me, i moved three steps to my left, and the little scuker flew right off the bridge. next i walk out and the other banshee flies right under me as i jump and i stick it with the plasma grenade, then it flies straight up. i watched it explode with satisfaction, and somhow it lands on three other flood (sweet!). i finally kill both bridges after an epic battle of more explosions and awsomness, not to mention i havent responed once. i look up at my health bar, one bar left, no sheild... and then i die. it was a single grunt with his plasma pistol. i almost cried because i laughed so hard. that certainly made my day, and i want to hear all of the good times everyone else has experianced from accomplishing this.

I will never forget Two Betrayals and the Final Run...*sighs* An epic battle...

I can remember it. You exit the underground tunnel. Depressing music plays. On the horizon, there is a small camp with covenant defending it. Flood attack from all sides. Explosions of all colors dominate the screen...amazing.

Two Betrayals is my favorite Halo 1 level of all time. I will never forget where a single enemy spawns. No lie.

My most memorable moment is on the maw. My friend, TripleXNinja,(Is what hes called on here) and I were playing co-op. One of us stays back and the other charges. It really worked until we went into one room where theres sentinels, flood, and about 2 hunters. well i throw a plasma grenade at a sentinel and the plasma grenade bounced off of it. It must of have landed in a pile of plamas. Because my friend who was quite a few yards away in the game died. Because when it landed in the plasmas, it must of have caused a chain reaction and caused the whole place to practically blow up. When i died i could still se the walls and there was blood EVERYWHERE. It was pretty cool.

So many moments of greatness...where to start?

It could be when the last wave of Covenant land at the first signal on the level Halo

My first taste of Halo from the opening battle on the Silent Cartographer...or the end with me running out guns blazing.

Basically all the outside battles on AotCR
like me taking a warthog with a Sniper and a gunner, and then ruining every thing in my way with just my sniper in the side seat after the gunner the wraith.

First time meeting the Flood on 343 guilty Spark

First and last battle on the Two Betrayals

Last 5 minutes of the game...and the last stretch run
That drop scarred the crap out of me the first time...and all those times playing co-op and running that last bit to the Longsword Fighter, back to back with our guns trained on the sides....yeah good times.

And those are just some...the ones I remember the clearest.

AotCR, Legendary. First time you meet Marines. In the Warthog i was fighting the Wraith. Being the very good driver that I am[snort] i manage to ram into the bloody thing. Next thing i know i was flying. I fell out and instinctivly fired with my rocket laucher. BANG! Bye Bye Wraith. Then[ i was still in the air but about 1 metre from the ground] it said X to enter Warthog! The Warthog was in on the ground and i timed it so well in looked like I landed in it. Then i ran everything over =p

well Mr. wikawakawoo i surely have experienced gameplay like youve never seen before. no wait wait. yes you have. when you were over at my house. back in the day when we found NUM-NUMS (the name for the flood we found)? in the begining of 343 guilty spark there are a few times where you can see elite flood waddling around from place to place when you run across the log to get to the covenant being bombarded with AR bullets. the first one is running through the trees to your left and the second one is in front of you standing by the shadow (plasma turret) and it runs back where you cant see it anymore. first time i saw "NUM-NUMS" was freakin creepy. if you dont believe me go try it yourself. it may take a few tries to time seeing it right but theyre there. still dont believe you saw it after you see it? shoot "NUM-NUMS" with the pistol in the chest and he'll take a few second nap like they always do. run over to where he is and sure enough you'll see him get up and run until he stops and disapears. where originally he was only supposed to creep you out and if you looked for him he was gone is becuase he IS gone. anywho something just tells me that becuase there was nothing like this in halo2. that halo > halo2 is still a true equation.

the other greatest moment in halo for me and you Mr. wikawakawoo must have been on asualt on the conrtol room. as we made our way across the bridge on legendary, where the yellow sword weilding elite pops out, we decided the slowly kill everything tactic wasnt working so we just ran for it. jumping around and over the enemies until... there stood Mr. wikawakawoo... the yellow elite.. i decided it was best to throw plenty of plasma grenades on him and the turret nearby and run. we heard an explosion and then BING loading... complete. we continued the level as normal until we came back to the area we just we came from where mr. wikwakawoo was. whilest not in a perticular loading zone area. it freezes in time until you return so as soon as me and you walked out the door. BOOM!! SPLAT!!! we see the turret and mr wikawakawoo raining down from the sky! there you yelled mr wikawakawoo! and we laughed and drank premium safeway SELECT cola and your brother accused me of not being in shape and needing to join wrestling.. *sigh* those were the days. well anyway thats all for my rant. dont flame me for posting this gimungous thing. i just had a lot to say thats all. after all. it was dog himself who started this thread

Never forget the time I killed a hunter with a single melee hit.

Silent Cartographer, legendary, couple of months ago:

After unlocking the security system to open the tunnel allowing Chief to get to the cartographer I came upon the two hunters guarding the entrance. I ran up the ramp on the side of the outcropping and right into one of the hunters. He lunged at me and missed, so I strafed. I turned him into a position where his fellow hunter's fuel rod shot hit him in the back. He was wounded, but after a lil more strafing and pistol usage I took him down. After eliminating the one, I turned my attention to the other hunter. I ran straight for him while his fuel rod cannon pulsed green. Firing his shot, I jumped hoping to leap over the round like I did so many times before. However, this time I was not so lucky. The round struck directly under me as I jumped, launching me nearly twice the height of the doorway on the entrance to the silent cartographer complex. Coming down with only 3 bars of health and no shield I made the choice to make a futile melee strike with the pistol on the hunters head. I thought I would die for certain, but when I hit that hunter in the head with my pistol whip the enemy fell. I laughed, and looked down at the body. I was astounded, and shot the body a few times to ensure he was dead and not just some odd glitch. Amazing, just amazing.

I haven't owned Halo for too long, but long enough for some fine memories.

The first time I played Assault on the Control Room on legendary. On the first time you finish the bridges and then go outside to meet the marines, the Covenant had already killed them. After like 20 tries, on 13, my friend and I managed to get the Warthog and drive it into the building and just use the turret. After 7 times, we finally cleared the area. As soon as we walk out, I'm like:
"Woah, these are weird corpses! They almost look like more Spart-- oh."
Yeah. There were all my corpses. It was heart-breaking.

The first time I played Silent Cartographer, my friend and I got lost down there. It was pretty dark. We spent til 1:00 AM and we still didn't finish it.

The Final Run on the Maw. It was so frustrating. When I played it with my friend, he basically did all the driving. But once, I fell into a hole, and my friend just left me there. Then, when I respawned at the checkpoint, my friend slowed down just a little bit, and I ran to the back like hell. I climbed aboard by doing this really sweet 'jump, grab spin' thing. I didn't even think that was a possible animation.

Another time while playing the Maw at the end, (it was only my second time) I had seen my friend do all these turns in the hallway, right? So I try to do the same thing, because I vaguely remember him saying that they could go on for miles... When I do the same thing, guess what? 1:45 left, I wind up back at the place where you get your Warthog. I was so pissed. I had to restart again... Poor Master Chief. Dead like the rest of the marines.

See, Halo 1 gives us all these memories. I really can't say that I remember anything really good that I did on Halo 2. I just remember that I didn't like the flood, and I hated the dark. That's it. All my memories of Halo 2 come from the Multiplayer with my LAN three days after its launch.

haha this brings up a funny story. well i guess it wasn't funny unless your me, but we were playing CTF at coagulation. My friend Matt and his team mates took our flag, and was retuning to their base in the warthog. I was right infront of their base, and i had the rocket launcher. I locked on and fired straight into the hood of the warthog, and fliped it right over me. Killed all 3, and returned my flag.
that was wonderful.

The warthog run at the very end I can remember it like it was yesterday driving along with explosions and bodys everywhere runing over the flood and laughing as the flood are wiped out in the explosion at the end. Also my first run through the library with the monitor making smarmy remarks that was scary!!

My favorite moment from halo 1 is when I was playing multiplayer with my friends multiplayer at hang em' high, I had sniper rifle and two if my friends run up right by eachother, than one runs behind the other one and I shot one of them and i hit both and killed both of the with the same shot. It may not sound too kewl to a lot of you but this is when I was just starting to play halo and it was a really nice shot.

One time I was playing Keyes (hate that level btw) on Heroic. I was at the area where you had to unlock the door in Truth and Reconciliation. I had attempted this part many times but each time I died horribly. So, this time I chucked a few grenades at the flood coming out of the big doors and then ran for my life. I saw some more floodies at the end of a narrow hallway and thought "crap, I'm surrounded". But from that point on I just kept running without slowing down at all. I shotgunned my way through the hallway floods and by some miracle survived, then I met up with the covenant. I had already ran past them by the time they figured out I was there and before they could turn around they were met face-to-face with the flood that had been chasing me since the big doorlock room. It was a one-in-a-million chance (because I must've been meleed a dozen times in that one run, let alone how many times I was shot) that I would survive all that and I wish I had taped it.

Well i got a few.

The funniest thing that has ever happened to me happened at a BIG lan party i hosted last week. While we were playing on blood gulch 8vs8 CTF i was running for the flag. As soon as i enter the base the rocket guy comes around the corner. I can hear him yell your dooooomed! from across the room and suddenly he dies! It says he suicided. I didn't see it. I ran back outside of the front entrance. A teamate must have run in front of him and the rocket blast blew him up!

Then i grab the flag and the shotgun guy springs out of nowhere at me. I panicked. We were just wavin our weapons(My flag actually) adn he was shooting and i actually killed him!!! That made me start laughing. I heard him cussing and laughing.

Then i get out the tele and run to our base. I always go in the back instead of the front. And as i am running towards the entrance from around back i warthog SPAWNED ON ME! I went insane with laughter. They returned the flag and we eventually tied as it ran out of time 2-2.
