I never really messed around with Double EXP games, but now that I'm taking the game seriously I've decided to, and had no idea they allowed people to play in parties on this.

I was just playing solo for a while on Fiesta and the past six games or so were just absolutely dominated by two buddies; one of which concentrated on winning while the other concentrated on stopping everyone else from being able to.

What exactly are they thinking on this? Shouldn't it be set up just like Lone Wolves to allow for optimum fairness?

It's Social, yes, but there's still incentive to take it seriously with the double experience gain.

Even regardless of the fact that it's Social, it's still a 1-v-All set of gametypes and allowing people to play in parties absolutely defeats the nature of the games.

I just seems absolutely nonsensical to me to set this up in such a manner.

Mmmm Brains!

It isnt possible to work together in Fiesta other than Fiesta oddball, simply because of the short lifespans and different spawn locations its impossible to work together.

@r3x f3r4l:

Your logic is terribly flawed as it's easily reversed by those who want to play solo and stand no chance because people are in parties and are operating as a team in a 1-v-All game-type(a point I already made.)

The very nature of the term "Free-for-All" is instantly contradicted when you give people the opportunity to play as a team thusly gaining them unwaivering favor against everyone else.

Sorry man, in terms of raw definition and overall game balance your logic doesn't hold up at all on this.

You just sound pissy, the major point of double exp weekend is to have fun. Social is social, should rumble pit change party options?, its the same thing. If you don't like it go back to lone wolves where you can go, "ner ner ner i'm by myself blarg".

I greatly-hesitated even making this thread as my initial impression of this forum had me guessing the general posting population seemed to be of the same stock I frequently come across in-game, and of the less-than-able to accurately engage in serious conversation/debate typical forum-goers that I find in gaming hubs and it looks as if I was correct based on the responses so far.

Lesson learned.

Hard nipples like winter, year-round.

It's just something you have to deal with at times in social playlists. Some folks will always be looking for an edge. Even at the expense of fairness and sportsmanship.

I still think it's a good idea to keep unranked FFA lists open to parties, because not everyone is taking advantage. And most people who try often lack the communication skills to do so effectively.
