you can skip down until the bold part if you wish
well it's a funny story actually. i was reformatting my PC, and one of the thing i have to do is take out my network card before i install it. so i did, and put it back after the installation. shortly afterword, i discovered my halo disk was missing. i searched all over for it, but i only found the cd case. empty. as i pried open my case, i prayed it wouldn't be there.
unfortunately, it was. it was also, neatly snapped in two.
now this made me sad for a minute, until i decided to call MS tech support about it. they probably won't help me much, but it's worth a shot. before i run off and blindly make this call, i got an idea.

since Bungie and Microsoft never respond here, maybe if we actually spoke to a human being, we could get something out of it. so I'm wondering what else you guys think i should ask about. I'm calling anyway, so it probably won't be to hard.
then again, it means i actually have to talk to people....

NOTE: i realise that this might incite very little action. i mostly want questions answered.

oh, i'm sorry, i was under the impression that people were unhappy with how playing on halo PC was today. i didn't realise you all loved the hacking, lag, and teamkilling, and weren't willing to do anything about it.

if you paied any attention, you would realise that buying another disk has little to do with this thread, and MR. B., you 100% correct, but i just want a place with a compiled list of all the current complaints. so that if i forget something, which i have been known to do, i would have a simple place where it is all listed.

i have a friend who has worked with Microsoft for years. he's the one who suggested calling. like i said, i know my chances are slim, but this guy guarantees me they'll replace it. he IS buying me a new copy if they refuse to do anything about my erm... "predicament".

aimbot hack has penetrated Bungie servers. TeamKilling is rampant. Those are my two big pissers.

But I don't suggest you grouse about them in the same phone call to the techs. They'd probably give one of two outcomes: a corporate line detailing that they either know about the problem and are going to fix it (uh huh, got that in email) or they won't take you seriously at all, including your problem with the disk, and you'd end up with no help at all.

I battled over posting this. but it's your choice. Good luck.

minus, as i said, i'm getting a new CD eaither way. you need not battle your self over anything. after i meantion my CD, and they say something like "is that all?" that's when i'm gonna launch the other stuff on them.

just tell them to look at the community and give them what they are asking for. We're a community that no company gives a -blam!- about anymore. Tell them to look at these forums and league forums.
