About me: I am a vicious wolf of a man.

But really am sweet at heart. =)

Just got Halo PC today. I bought it for the Custom Edition. I have been watching vids about it on Youtube for a long time and finally found a copy after years of searching.

Anyway, there are hundreds of websites that host the Custom Edition, but I want to know the safest site to download it from. I just got a new PC and I don't want to get it full of viruses after 2 minutes.

Also, how the heck to I put it in the game files?

Add me to your friends list if you haven't already. It's a lot more fun to play with people from The Maw and people I know than random noobs.

Halomaps.org is the best website for Custom Edition maps.

Here is the link to download the actual custom edition game

Then to add a custom map, download the map. They typically come in a .zip file. There will be an option to "extract files" when you open the zipped file. Simply extract them to the custom edition maps folder (Usually C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\maps) and the maps should be there the next time you start up custom edition.

Also be warned that if you add a ton of maps to the folder, the Halo loading screen will take longer when you first start up the game, so I would recommend deleting maps you rarely play if it takes too long.

Hope this helps
