Has anyone had an experience like this: I have completed the campaign on Normal and have progressed to the start of "The Library" on Heroic. Although the opponents are tougher and more skilled, my Heroic Campaign is going MUCH faster and with a lot less getting killed than on Normal.

I have tried to analyze why this is so, and have come up with a few good reasons. I:

1.) Know the map and room layouts better than I did at the start of Normal. (So, know where to go and what to do to progress through the story.)

2.) Have better accuracy and dodging skills. My MC still throws grenades like a junior high girl; but I'm finding I can stick it a lot more often, and the other weapon skills are coming along nicely.

3.) Have better knowledge of weapon strengths and enemy vulnerabilities. I went through most of Normal relying HEAVILY on the plasma pistol, and disdaining the Human pistol (M6). Also, though I knew that the S2 was accurate, I did not realize it was so powerful, nor which foes to save the ammo for. Thus it was that I got killed well over 17 times, trying to gain access to the bottom of the grav lift under the T&R. This encounter set the tone for the rest of my Normal game: I loathed hunters, and my battles with hunter pairs averaged over 2 hours. Thanks to this forum, and the walkthroughs, the median battle with a hunter pair in Heroic now takes about 4 minutes; and I've been killed a total of about 3 times by hunters, so far. I haven't gotten the melee kill down, yet; but give me an M6 (or S2, of course) and a hunter is dead meat.

4.) Know tips, tricks, techniques and shortcuts. Again, almost entirely due to this forum and walkthroughs (thanks!) I know tips like stealing the Banshee at the bridge in AotCR. Oh, and this one hurts: On Normal I drove the warthog right past the Scorpion in AotCR and didn't even realize what it was. My marines were soon gone and I basically did the tank segment alone, with no Scorpion. When I saw the "Rolling Thunder" title, I thought, "Where is it? What is it?" (Duh, Nick, it's SUPPOSED to be YOU!!) So this part took me about 12 hours without the tank on Normal, compared to 30 minutes with the tank on Heroic.

Well, here I am at the Library, wondering if the gravy train is over or if I can expect to find easy sailing for the rest of the game. Those of you who can remember back that far, what does your experience say?

Heroic is a little bit harder than Normal, but it isn't that hard to beat. I'm on Legendary and stuck on the second level (I got Halo at the beginning of this year and took about a 4 month break, and I beat Heroic last week or something like that), Legendary is very different from Heroic, you'll notice that. But it's not imposible, cause most of everyone on this forum has already beaten Legendary while I still am lol.

the library is extremely easy is heroic. you must not have brains. (im tlaking to the guy who replied right before me). Heroic is easy, legendary is easy. you wont have problems. (maybe with T&R on legendary...lol)
