Subject: Why does EVERYONE think people buy accounts?

In my past weeks of playing mah Halo 3, it's become a more prominent issue with people accusing others of buying their account. I for one think that this is simply an illogical statement, based on just the fact that the player didn't got immensly positive in that particular game.

Currently, I'm a 50 in Team Doubles and Team Slayer. I can say that I know many boosters and Boostees. However, out of all of these people I've meet and had the oppourtunity to play with, they don't sell the account to anyone. They just like getting 50's, or just like playing the particular playlist in which the account is de-ranked.

In my humble oppinion, I would say that 45% of people have at least 1 legit level 50 in some playlist. 54% of people only have one 50 that was boosted, or their only 50 was boosted, and a mere 1% of people actually buy the account without ever contributing to the accounts level 50 skill.

I'm just tired of seeing everyone, including my fellow generals saying that the kid bought his account. Mostly because when I play a 50 in Matchmaking, he has to be above 40 in the playlist that I'm in, so obviously he has some skill set.

tl:dr --> Please don't assume that people who did bad bought their account. It makes you look retarded.

LW 50
TS 50
TD 50

Agreed, though to me it seems that most of these guys who complain about 99% of 50s being bought are here in Bungie.net. I can't remember myself being accused of having bought my 50 even once in MM, and I'm pretty certain that my friends haven't been either.

Here in Bungie.net though, any thread involving competitive gameplay/ranked playlists/whatever is a guaranteed way to get people ranting that every 50 has been bought and that rank means nothing etc.

I think that I have gotten at least 7-10 50's for people and I am not one of the people selling them and I didnt boost any of them. I played with a guy yesterday who bought an MLG 50...every game of MLG someone was booted and he had a 1.2 k/d. I destroyed him...people just say about people buying there 50's cause it does happen and because often times people are better than the 50s. A lot of people could get to a 50 if they made a new account but they would just have people telling them that they bought it. 50 is not a skill cap if you didnt know that already. I found this out shortly after the game first came out and I got a 50 and was beating almost every 50 I played with. Dont get all hurt when I say this but you are on the lower end of the 50 chart. There are a ton of 50's that are a lot better than you so you have people saying that you bought your account. This is not your fault but the fault of the rank system for 50 not being a skill cap.

I don't understand why people want to sell an account that has 50(s) on playlist(s). It seems stupid, in my opinion. Then again, the economy is bad right now. :P
