I think it might be bad disk quality.

Probably, it depends on if you meant the discs are scratched, or if Bungie used cheap discs.

You just don't take good enough care of your disks if they got scratched. Or your Xbox is scratching it. Or you just play it more than any other game, so of course they'll wear out quicker.

The disk creators don't vary by developer far as I know. So saying it's just Halo disks that are bad doesn't really make sense.

Creating destiny's, sealing fates.

Sporting the Bungie day reconz

It was prolly more due to poor care on your part of the disks. I have had the same halo disk for one, two, and three. They have never gotten ruined and I played them all the time.

"Shutup dude you're like 42 years old"

Did you knock over your Xbox? I did that well my brother was playing MW2 and it scratched it. I'm so tempted to do it again.

not without his help

Not if his 360 has a bunch of dust in it.

In all honesty it could be your Xbox. Let's not forget the quality first gen, launch Xbox360's had. RROD, and the lens inside would loosen up overtime which would scratch the disks. If you have circular scratches on the disk, there's a big chance it's the lens. I would get the 360 fixed asap, or send it into Microsoft if they cover that.

Did you move your 360 while the disc was inside? Also, If we're talking about a permenently broken disk, is the spindle cracked in the middle? I've had two of my games get cracks in the hole in the middle due to wear and tear. Constantly taking in and out the games out of their case would cause this. For example, I had to buy Oblivion again because the first one got a crack in the spindle in the middle. Played it too much >_>, I even bought again. My original Halo 3 disc has a slight crack too due to how much I played Halo 3. Just get a new disc if it's cracked.
If it's your 360, get a new one!

has your 360 ruined any other game discs? or just halo

  • 08.25.2010 12:03 AM PDT

all video-game/dvd disks are pretty much the same, maybe you should take better care of your things instead of blaming the people who made them.

It seems to me that the ODST discs were of poorer quality than the others...

It's the only games that gives me problem (along with Modern Warfail 2 sometimes).

To launch the ODST Multiplayer disc I sometimes have to open and close my 360 like 20-40 times... and the disc does not have a single scratch on it...

When I put on Halo Wars or other games it just reads them on the first try...

Two of my Halo 3 discs are broken. The one from September 2007 is cracked along the middle in many places, and another I snapped in half last night so that I would stop playing it. Halo 3 does nothing but annoy me now.

I own two discs of Halo 3, neither one of them has broken, yet. However, I should say that my first disc seems to be problematic sometimes. (the loadings are pretty much slow anymore)

I believe this problem is mostly related to my older Xbox 360, I have heard there are many problems with the older Xbox 360's disc drives.

u played a lot halo thats why your discs are broken but two of them ur out of luck

  • 08.25.2010 3:37 AM PDT

because you cant look after your games for -blam!-??

joking, bungie like to give out -blam!- disks because they're to poor to afford good quality ones??

and im pretty sure theres no such thing as "bad disk quality"
all disks are made with the same strength

Well, my first halo disc got a perfect circular scratch on it, like someone took a compass and scratched a circle. If this is your problem, its your xbox not the disc.

I was told that when I accidently knocked my xbox over something got lose and scratched the disc. Had to get it repaired.

It may be user error. I've had my Halo 3 for two years now and it hasn't cracked or anything.

I know how you feel though when I was like 6, my Megaman Legends broke for my PSOne and I :('d for the longest time.
