whatever happened to the "having fun" aspect? back then, most people played social and online games with one thing in mind: have fun. it wasn't meant to be taken seriously, as if it was actual war or something. nowdays, people are as cold-hearted, ruthless, selfish, and rude as the very war veterans and hitler was during the actual wars while playing video games like halo 3 online. and the only way to "have fun" was to learn to mercilessly slaughter and kill anyone in their way without any remorse, or just win all the time. and then to add insult to injury, they "teabag" their victims, knock them around, then after beating them, tell them or send them messages in the coldest way saying, "you suck". what kind of fun is having only one side bully and beat up the other? that's not fun, that's disrespect. and then when someone actually shoot up a school or building due to being the victim of this treatment and pushed over the limit, these very people have the very nerve to say, "it's only just a game" well, if it's "just a game" then how come people act out and play the game as if it's a actual war? how come they think people's feelings and dignity are nothing but chess pieces and knock them down online? what if on your way home, someone came up to you, actually shot you or your friend point blank, and did a act of teabagging on you, taunting and laughing, as you took your final breaths, realizing you did the same thing yesterday to a whole bunch of people online? would you find it as "fun" then? and when arrested and asked why, he says, "because he did that to me with a bunch of people online in call of duty modern warfare. he put me down and bullied me every night i played. so i went and killed him and others that night out of rage, wanted them to feel the pain i felt going through that, make them see how it felt.."
still wanna "have fun" the way do now, just to have this story possibly happen for real due to your actions?
so why do people have to be cold-hearted online? just because they can hide behind a gamertag and avatar, believing that they could say and do whatever they want, and they'll never be any consequences? or is it more?
