So my code is showing up used... HELP?!
This only happens with keygens/pirated copies, or so it seems from what my friends have been saying.

I bought my copy three years ago -- and an avid fan of the series. I can assure you that I did not pirate anything - also the majority of people here didn't pirate either. It's a glitch most likely.

Average player, doing average stuff.

1) I have the disk the original Halo CE for orignal Xbox.

2) I'm not talking about anything online related. Just have the damn game check the damn hard drive the same way Mass Effect does. Except, all you are looking for is the mear -blam!- existance of a Halo CE game save on the hard drive. Then just check it off in game Reach and save it (settings I guess) for Reach.

Why is this so complicated?

No one said you did.
Some people may have though. You could be right it may just be a glitch.

Yup, I called my friend and he took my box and used the key. At least HE will rock the HALO flair. Meh, the Marathon one looks cooler anyway.

I believe your friend owes you a new key. ;)

Thank you Bungie for removing the cutoff date. Me thinks he'll be making a little trip to Best Buy in the next few hours. xD

I know - I was just replying to the guy. This seems to be an ongoing issue due to the large mass of people with the same issue.

I rock at Halo. I may not be the best, or even Pro, but I kick with the big boys. I also love getting achievements. My fave is Endure, just because it took a bit to get.

This is true. They should dod this, mostly because my code isn't working. Also, they should give Halo 2 nameplates to Halo 2 PC users. Thats the only one I played online.

Well, f'k this. It says my code is already used. That's just great.

My english isn't really topnotch.. But my copy wasn't pirated or something like that. I bought it from GameStop (EB Games here in Sweden back then) a few years ago, like 2 or something, and it worked fine.
I just find this a bit boring because I expected the HALO nameplate but oh well. I guess I'll use something else because I will never buy a new game just because of that. =/

Well apart from the fact that Sawnose JUST said:

Q: What about Halo 1 Xbox via Games on Demand?
A: Bungie is no longer part of Microsoft and we simply do not have access to the purchase data for this game, nor does it register online. It shows up in the console's recent games list, but not your gamercard for us to see. It's out of our hands

Apart from this I guess a main reason is that Bungie wants to reward the loyal PC players for playing. Isit really so hard to understand???

Marathon looks cool and isn't that bad of a game. If you don't have it and were thinking of getting it you can get a awesome faceplate for it. :) <- expertly done smiley face.

Q: There is no Marathon submit button! :(
A: Internet Explorer has a Compatibility View with must be turned off to see the submit button! When this Icon (next to the refresh button) is on a blue backround you will see no submit button, so toggle it to a clear backround to solve the issue.
If this has no effect use a different browser.

Mass Effect is an Xbox 360 game, looking for data for Xbox 1 games is not as simple as that. It's the same reason why Xbox 1 games cannot have achievements, the two consoles are just very, very different and the fact it's able to run Xbox games at all is quite amazing. But again, it's the reason most don't work and many run poorly.

If Bungie were capable of reading save files, I'm sure they would have done this, as well as not requiring Halo 2 users to have to play online.

Why does halo2 for vista doesnt work trough the same way like Marathon:Durandal?

  • 08.26.2010 12:54 PM PDT

Yeah what gives? Halo 2 Vista should be just as easily verifiable as Halo 2 Xbox!

Yes then wait for it to appear in your recent games ON THE NAMEPLATE PAGE! It may say it's in your recent games on the dashboard but the webpage takes forever to reconize it.

I can understand the frustration of Vista players. But its just not Bungie's game.

Be grateful that Bungie is even doing all this for the Community.

I agree.
Also the flair is for clebrating the good run of Halo 2 on Xbox Live not if you played Halo 2. A little unfair, but I missed out to on it, and LOOK! I survived!
