Those become active after you play Reach once.

Is this linked to your gamertag, or your bungie.net profile?

I just changed the Windows Live ID associated with my Xbox Live Gamertag. So i had to create a new bungie.net profile, so my profiles could be linked again. So is the flair connected to my gamertag and followed me to my new bungie.net profile. or is the flair lost on the old bungie.net profile with no gamertag?

So the way to tell if your copy is real or not is if it comes on a yellow sticker? So if its a pirate one its on a yellow sticker?

Please answer :-)

I'll bet the counterfeiters have figured out how to get yellow stickers, too :-)

The "yellow sticker" is just advice to people about what number to look for (as opposed to the "Product ID" shown in the game menu, which is not what we want here). Having one doesn't guarantee the software is genuine.

My advice is that if you buy a game as new from a store, and it comes with a key that you can already find on Google (as some people here have done), you should get the store to give you a full refund, or you can feel free to report software counterfeiting to www.bsa.org - but only do this if you're certain of it, like when you get a key that is clearly found online as a "free" halo pc key.

Unfortunately Bungie can't really help here - like if you go to a bank and say that someone just gave you this fake $20 bill, they'll say thanks and take it from you - but they don't give you a new one.

Unfortunately, you are out of luck :(

If the game is installed on your computer, you can use a program to retrieve the serial.

HELP. Since Bungie added the nameplate. I've been entering my code and all I get is "We've had a problem with your request, please try again." EVERYTIME I've tried. PLEASE HELP!

  • 08.30.2010 5:24 PM PDT

Look! A distraction!

Calm down. Make sure you've entered it exactly right and included the dashes between the blocks of characters. It should work out then. (caps lock doesn't matter apparently, but the dashes most definitely do)

pissedposeiden73: You should remove that partial key from your post ASAP before someone figures out the last five characters.

"If I win, I'm a child prodigy. If I lose, then I'm considered crazy. That's how history is written."

umm. newfound discovery if anybody hasn't found it yet. ALL caps on the code for Halo 1 wont work. just lowercase it.

I used all caps for my cd key. And it worked just fine.

So basically.. I'm F'd. and the ONLY game retail store around me isn't selling Halo PC for that exact reason. Liability.

And for a brand new copy out of the box still wrapped it's like $20-$30 with an as is selling stating if the key is invalid they are not liable lol.

Ok thanks for the reply sawnose :)

Im ordered it from ebay so I cant really return it, but the seller has 12000 positive votes so hopefully it will be legit.

...If its a pirate one ill burn it.

So I unlocked the Halo CE for the PC flair(and it's awesome), and it said that the product code was entered successfully.
But why when I go to look at my nameplate setting a couple days later it says that it has an error loading that portion of the site? Should I be worried, or is Bungie working on the site?

The site underwent some maintenance, you should be good.

EDIT: I get the same error. Everything should be resolved.

Halo: Reach Unlockables

There was an error loading this page. Please try again later.

what with this?

Same for me. I'm assuming (Read: HOPING) that this portion of the site is down for maintenance and not a sign that we are too late for these 2 flairs.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I didn't see it in the pages I read:

Where can I find the code that needs to be typed in? I typed the one that is on the Microsoft sticker on the outside of the box but that didn't work. Please advise.
