Hegemony: In Progress

By now I think that Bungie has already made up their mind to exclude H2V from the qualifications for the H2 nameplate.

I didn't really know where else to put this thread other than the H1&2PC forums since the recently created nameplate thread is not a place for debating the criteria for them.

I honestly am not whining for them to change this as I respect Bungie's right to do whatever they please, but still I can't agree with it without first having an explanation as to why.

Bungie could verify H2V players by doing one of the same methods with which H1PC and Durandal are currently operating under.
1. Use a CD key
2. Verify by gamercard
Both would seem easy enough to implement for H2V.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but since it doesn't appear to be that hard to verify whether or not you have actually played H2V, why is it excluded?

If at all possible, I would like an answer as to why Bungie decided to exclude the H2V community from receiving a H2 nameplate.

This is the average H2 Fanboy.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

1. The CD key would be subject to pirates, due to the fact that there is a exploit involving using keys from other GFWL keys to activate h2v or other GFWL games.
2. The gamercard method is a lot more plausible. But according to bungie, they didn't make h2v. Then again, they didn't make Marathon Durandal 360 so that isn't an excuse for no flair.

1. Then why are they using that for a different flair?
2. The CD key would be a lot easier.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Halo 2 Vista still has their own CD Key authentication program, which is one of two games which has this, they can gather the keys registered through that.
GFWL exploit only works on GFWL and not on the original H2V activation program.

You have brought up a great point about Marathon 360.
Not only has Bungie indirectly proved they hate H2V, but they have chosen to treat it as a p.o.s that will be ignored forever.

Bungie and Microsoft have nothing to say about this, and therefore H2V players will be screwed forever, since the beginning of release the game was DOA.
