Subject: Banned for a week halo 3 because a closed NAT?

Is this possible? i just went to play halo 3 tonight and it said i am banned for a week so i checked out the FAQ and it said its because of network manipulation. It is the only thing that could have effected the network. I always have my Nat open but this this week i updated my router and forgot to allow UPnP. I just remember today because i was having issues downloading from Games on Demand (which is a problem for alot of ppl today because i called Microsoft to ask what was wrong) and just decided to check my router settings out. I only played halo matchmaking once this week and i did with my nat partially open. so would this be the cause if it is that pretty ridiculous. Also i got no warning in the lobby about my nat being closed and i know halo3 warns people.

Anyway back to the original question would my nat being only partially open cause me to get banned?

blah its gonna be a long week...

EDIT: Also its only a bungie ban i am not banned from xbox live.

Your NAT being partially open will not get you banned. Network Manipulation will get you banned.

EDIT: You DNF'd every single game you played on August 11th, 2010. Deranking is grounds for being banned.

ok well there was no network Manipulation unless that includes nat thats kinda my point lobster fish...... so thanks for nothing

here what it says in the

FAQ "We are banning for repeated bandwidth manipulation events - dropped connections, standby, ip flooding, among other things. The important point here is that these things do NOT normally occur, especially over long periods of time. And while they can occur without the user intending for it to happen, it still sucks for all players they play with. Remember, we're not banning based on intent - we ban based on cold logic: literally, a query against a specific set of criteria."

Also i live alone and my network is protected so theres no way anyone else could have effected my connection.

I take that back lobster fish you helpped alot i did betray with my friends alot that night i didnt know that would get u banned for that in social slayer.

ok so it was me being a dumbass

The fact that you habitually quit in all those social slayer matches, maybe the reason why you got banned.

Edit: aww beat me to it.

yeah again if u didn't notice lobster fish i edited an apology! on the post above

ALSO I betrayed (I did not quit) all those games and got booted so all those people asking if u can get banned for betraying the answer is yes if you do it a ridiculous amount.

:D
