1080P does have noticeable issues, but if you have a 720 set you should be fine.

Your TV has nothing to do with your Internet connection. There could be some input lag though.

This. Your tv doesn't affect latency/lag when it comes to internet. Now if you're noticing a bit of button/input lag, that's a whole different thing.

Phillips is your first problem lol. Seriously though if it's LCD and the refresh rate is less than 120hz yer prolly in trouble. Plasmas are a lil different but I've done only enough research on those to know that I don't want one.

-All's right with the world-

I use a 720p Insignia HDTV and have not had any real problems with latency.
I play mostly shooters and fighters so precision is important to me.
If you choose to get an HDTV I hope you also have a problem free experience.

That's not what I was getting at. I thought someone would bring up "well you have a crappy internet so they're just eating shots" so I demonstrated my internet to prove that's not the case.

Still doesn't change the fact that tvs have nothing to do with lag/latency from the internet/your network. Lag will happen regardless of your internet speeds as you have to rely on other players' internet as well.

My Gamertag is Mr Naughty Body.

I may be short, but my heart is tall.

Do you use an HDMI cable or the HD component cables that came with the XBox? I know with the cable that came with my XBox, I did notice a bit of input lag, but with an HDMI, it's perfect.

Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

Make sure you ask the sales dude/dudedet, you can get LCD t.v's that will have 0.02ms refresh rate, which is unnoticeable by the human eye.

EDIT: Any other lag is due to internet connection which is unavoidable.

You get used to the slight input lag. Also, it really depends on your tv. What's the response time? What's the refresh rate? Is it a high end tv? Or a lower end one? Higher end tv's generally make the image go through a lot of post-processing to make the image look better (hence why they're more expensive.) Most tv's have a game mode where the built in processor basically gets turned off to minimize input lag while playing video games. Picture won't look as great but you'll have a better response. If it doesn't have a game mode go into the menu and basically turn everything off, Dynamic Contrast Ratio, edge enhancers, noise reduction, anything, turn it off. Honestly though, if you're tv is 5ms or lower, you should be fine, you'll get used to the sligh input lag and you'll adapt the more you play. You won't notice if after a while. If you have a lower end hdtv then you're probably fine and it's just your everyday lag.

I have a full 1080p, and I notice nothing. Do you have a weak/innacurate weapon?

Yes, all HDTVs have some degree of lag. This is because image processing (upscaling, sizing, etc) causes a delay in the time it takes for the information sent by the xbox to be displayed on screen.

CRTs have the least lag. The best bet for a modern screen is to get a HD LCD monitor as these are often engineered to have fast response times (for gaming).
