If you are in a clan for halo 2, i'm not gonna make fun of you. I am in a clan also, but only people i have played in halo are allowed in. It's called the <s3c>, but thats not important. You guys and your alliances have gone so far, that you might not be able to fight anyone do to all your alliances. I think that all of your alliances should be earned, or should come in time. Don't just go into the classifieds and ask if you want to have an alliance.

Say you know the other clans leader from a while back, and you want to form an alliance, thats ok, but dont have random alliances.

Now back to my first point, recruiting people. I would only accept people in my clan who i have seen in action, or maybe let them in because i've seen their awsome thinking and creativity on the forums. Also, attitude is a big part. You cant walk into a forum and start saying you're hot 5hit, that you are the best. You cannot enjoy a victory if you sound like a 6 year old retard. You may be good at halo, but you will still look immature if you brag. The victory is sweeter when your clan is silent. Someone who is gonna brag wont get into a good clan. nobody wants to work with an @sshole..

Dont invite anyone into your clan. It can ruin your clan. Be careful.

thanks for reading and dont flame.

I think you might be right in what alliances are referred to but, can't alliances be broken? And besides, I feel that you've got no right to ruin someone's fun by telling him that he's completely wrong because he's not making a clan with people that he knows are good. Questioning what other people want to do with their ideas is just not your business. I think Xbox Live is about worldwide play, a German guy playing with a Japanese guy. I'd agree with you if Halo 2 was a System Link only game, but it's not.

You are absolutely right RoNe117, alliances can be broken. I have experience in that matter.

alliances can be broken.

Why make an alliance only to break it later?

It was only a suggestion, and frankly, nobody wants to be in a clan with an idiot from the forums that you never met. If you are going to have a clan, make it work. I'm not saying the game wont be fun if you let random people into the clan. I am trying to help everyone out here by saying this, i'm not calling them idiots. These are just my opinions, and if someone wishes to not follow my suggestions, fine.

Where you said "Questioning what other people want to do with their ideas is just not your business", was totally out of line. I was only applying logic to the situation, and helping people who might be rushing into this whole clan thing. Keep in mind i'm not inslting the people.

Alliances are made to last. A clan who betrays another clan is dishonest, and fights dirty. There is no honor. Call me an idiot if you wish when i say honor about a video game, but trust applies to everything. If i was to make an alliance, i would keep it.

When you said "I think Xbox Live is about worldwide play, a German guy playing with a Japanese guy. I'd agree with you if Halo 2 was a System Link only game, but it's not.", i think you mistook me. I wasn't saying only your friends, i was saying that you should not just let random people into your clan. A method of this is haveing caln tryouts. You put up a server with a name like "Clan tryouts", and let people come in. If a person in the server show a talent for the game and a fine attitude, invite that person to join your clan. You can even start your tryouts for you halo 2 clan with xbox connect, if you are so dang eager to have a halo 2 clan.

I plan on taking care of these problems by making everyone in my clan practice for one or two weeks. The weekends will usually be used for the the longest amount of training. If they show enough improvement, we'll play another team, or practice against one of our allies.

hey nactal im totally w/ u...i think random clans and alliances are retarded...u should be in a clan w/ ppl u noe and trust, ppl u noe can get the job done and not bit-ch about it...random clans just dont work...it just...wont...and all the alliances r retarded, i say MAYBE 1 or 2 w/ clans who have done something good for u in the past, or who r extremely gracious, and fun 2 talk to...but advertising for alliances??? well yeah...ill go spread my limited knowledge elsewhere....

I am in a 5 person alliance. before it was formed we all dropped our allies and formed a tight-knit 5 person group. we are all clans that knew each other before and all the leaders were good friends. I agree whole-heartedly that alliances shouldnt just be made, but i have known all the clans in my aliance for a long time.

In addition, we will not be allying with ANY other clans. We are allied for a reason and anyone who says we shouldn't all be allied should know what they're talking about before they speak.

omg, they have spies now!? first, people made chapters for fun. Then they turned to making clans, in which they wanted to be the best. So they decorated them. Then, to seem better, they made rankings. Then alliances, Enemies, and now SPIES!? OMFG, the -blam!-in' game isn't even out yet! Holy Crap! I pity peoples obsessions...

1) there are no such thing as spies in clans (what is there to spy on?)

2) its up to clans to decide weither or not to get allies or not..
