Yeah, Hitboxing = fail. For example, a certan user from the maw who has never played Halo 2 Xbox online links to this halo 2 bash video (its much less exreme in acutial gameplay) which shows hitboxing, but it also exists in halo 3, which also has unbalanced weps and n00b armor (recon).

I have my 360 linked to my old xbox using a xbox system link cable. This setup worked fine when playing Halo 2, but when I tried to play Combat Evolved I got the message "Failed to connect to system link game". Does anyone know what could cause this and/or how it can be fixed? Thank you ahead of time.

How would a question about LAN play on the Xbox version of the game belong in the PC forum?

Something smells fishy...

No this thread does not belong on the Halo PC forum.

Just to make sure you are using an ethernet cross-over cable and not a regular ethernet cable.

You need to be using an ethernet cross-over cable to perform a system-link.

Also you need to have two copies of Halo. One copy for each XBOX.

Each XBOX needs to be connected to its own TV set.

I have all of that. I'm using the official xbox system link cable, if that helps.

Here comes Tulkas

I'd assume your system link cable is glitchy. Try using a hub with 2 ethernet cables. That should solve the problem.

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

This happened to us once before, the issue was trying to connect between an xbox and a 360. Two xbox's or two 360's worked fine, but for whatever reason we couldn't get them to crossover.

Ok, I'll try that. Thanks for the help, everyone.
