Subject: Pro tip to improve b.net

no, this isnt facebook, you could just say you like it

^ likes this. btw, you shouldn't call it a pro tip if it's not actually pro. Not many people like the "like" button on Facebook either.

It is pro, this could be facebook, it has potential.

Everyone uses the 'like' button on facebook, wtf are you talking about man?

The like button would be a great improvement.

I said discuss, not flame.

I see no flame comments. And it's not pro. It may be a semi-good add-on, but it's not pro. Besides, Bnet is a forum, not a blog.

I do not fear death, in view of the fact that I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it. ~ Mark Twain

I know it's off-topic, but I agree with you Naz.

That is a pro-tip. I think, that we should have profle pages similar to facebook to. But a wall and a background images, such as myspace.

And a dislike button.

  • 08.30.2010 8:51 AM PDT

Hates to love and loves to hate.

They should do it with comments, so you can like or dislike a comment like YouTube. While the most liked comment is placed underneath the OP and the post that get a decent amount of dislikes should be hidden, like they are when reported.

There is also no /ignore posts, this site is primitive and needs upgrading.

They should introduce a 'like' button, similar 2 facebooks, this would be awesome.

Opinions? Ideas?

Discuss.

@ clucth and majin

Thx guys for agreeing :)

I agree with both of you also, this site is OLD and needs upgraded.

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

No, Achronos has said countless times that is NOT a Social networking site, or ever will be one.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one that does this. :)

EDIT: I hope this wasn't moved from a different forum, that would make me feel bad about myself again.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

You seriously considering that a ''pro tip''?

The definition of social networking site doesn't seem to agree.

Honestly, this must be a joke. Child, listen, stop trying to defend yourself because clearly you are incapable of it. The only idiot in this thread is yourself, and trust me, it is obvious. So, how about you do as I asked earlier and log off, mommy and daddy wouldn't want you staying up this late.

Was this ... moved?

Anyway, no. The like button has turned my Facebook home page into a bunch of dumb jokes among other -blam!-.

I hope Achronos will continue to keep 'like' buttons off of this site. I don't care who likes my post, especially if they're too lazy to comment on it.

  • 08.30.2010 9:19 AM PDT

It's...eh. I don't know. I don't really see the point of it.

It was moved from the Halo 3 Forum.

And I don't care for this idea.

Edit: Didn't pay close attention, I thought it was the Reach Forum banner...

This was moved from the Halo 3 forum. That's why so many people were saying it belongs in the community forum.

Also, I don't see the point of adding a like button. A lot of forums do something like that, but I more only see it as a way to rank threads as one star.

“Oh, it’s a little bit of everything, it’s the mountains, it’s the fog, it’s the news at six o’clock, it’s the death of my first dog, it’s the angels up above me, it’s the song that they don’t sing, It’s a little bit of everything.”
- Dawes, A little bit of everything

...

I would steal all of the webmaster's alcohol if he did this. Then, I would hold all of it ransom (yes, even the special bottle that he named "Bob"). I would wait for seven days, and then I would broadcast a message to this Cowboy hat and jetpack wearing Guerrilla. This message would be a video, in this video, I would be holding "Bob" seven feet in the air by a rope above a hard, cement floor.

I would then make my demands.

If my demands were not met, I would cut this rope, and "Bob" would shatter into many pieces, and that cowboyhadandjetpackwearingguerrilla would become akin to that of the Disembodied Soul, having nothing left in the physical world, and nothing left but his Soul--not living, not dead.

tl;dr:
No.
