Subject: After all these years bungie still fails...

Angel

So just played a game of double snipers and once again thansk to the great job bungie did with halo 3, the host wins again. Shot a guy four times, saw the blood, but nope still doesnt die. I shot guy first then he hits me in the arm but it counts as a head shot. Im behind a wall where there is no possibility of being hit but some how I get head shotted. Im so glad halo reach is coming out cause this game has once again shown me why I stopped playing after I reached 50.

You're right OP, that's totally Bungie's fault, and not the fault of your ISP, or potentially your own. That would be impossible.

Group is Soldiers of War, ask for invite if you're interested

Games with bad connections isn't Bungie's fault, and it's a game.

if you don't like it don't play it, simple solution.

You do know having host in Halo 3 has more cons than pros, right?

Ignore the above fanboy's, you have a somewhat valid point. The reason I say this is because there is not a single ISP in the entire world that can help you against shot registration failure.

However, with the latest 'network tests' in the beta and the return of hitscan, plus a larger audience; the chances of getting more consistant, local games will increase greatly for Halo Reach.

Hosts have less aim assist. Whilst that still makes Host more preferential then say, playing on a host 3000 miles away, its still more benefiscial to be on a host thats close by (ie 6 bars) then to be the actual host.

I actually never noticed the host had an advantage... How is the host determined? Internet Quailty?

(if it is internet quaility I can basicaly say for fact, I have never been host)

(My internet connection is HORRID, one of the lowest in the country, yet im still able to play Halo 3 just fine... that is until someone gets on the computer...)

The point im trying to prove is how after years of being out they still havent fixed the connection problems, registration errors, thank god for the hit scan being brought back, spawning, so on and so forth. I mean when your close to medium range with a rifle you dont need to follow your opponite but once your far away then you add the distance, bullet drop, wind, so ya.

Its a basic Halo fact, in MLG competitions host is rotated between teams because it is considered to be a disadvantage.

Also host pretty much has hit scan (not really) but if you have a br comparision between host and non host shooting each other point blank with brs the host always wins.

Add me if you're a serious MLG player.

Sigh....there is NO host advantage in Halo, atleast not one that is noticable. It is negligible at best. People whine and complain about everything anymore, Gears of War has host advantage, Halo does not. People are actually MAKING up things in here, I lol'd at hit scan for the host only in Halo 3 - some of you should stop posting.. It is one thing to watch people think they know what they are talking about, but when you yourself fully understand, and watch people make things up, it is quite enjoyable.

The host system is fine, it is your internet that sucks.

You're ignorant and actually quite wrong with your statements. Host advantage is quite prevalent in Halo. Depending on how bad the host connection is, the advantage the host has over other players can vary.

They actually switch host because it's advantageous to be host. Thus, the higher seeded team gets to host more games than the lower seeded team. That's how it's been done for a few years.

50% of people talk about a percentage of people that do, like, or hate. Then they take the remaining percentage and say if you are the other percentage with the opposite opinion of the OTHER remaining percentage put this in your signature and so on. If you are the other 50% that hates this when people do it put this in your signature.

Ok, so if Bungie fails so bad why are you buying Halo Reach? Why are you even caring to post on the forums. Confusing...

If you see this post in your topic I'm sorry to tell you but your topic is dying.

Yes how dare Bungie let a player with a bad connection in the game.
