No room on the floor, the desk is up against the wall, and i can't move the desk because I have nowhere else in the room to put it, all of my guitar stuff is everywhere, and it takes up alot of space. The computer is in a soundproof recording room that I have.
Dude thats not gonna work out. Most computers are meant for specifically one thing, like gaming, in your case music recording, workstation (for programs like cad, and 3d rendering/game design programs,), basic internet use/whatever. Dont expect to be able to play a game like half life 2 with high settings with that computer, unless you get a better videocard.
The problem with most people who think they know about computers is the whole Ghz throwoff thing. For instance, AMD's are widely accepted in the gaming community as being better for games. If you know about computers you will agree (especifically the 64 bit series), while intels are better for workstations(specifically xeons and p4's). AMD's have much lower clockspeeds than Intel, yet still manage to benchmark way higher in 3dmark and pcmark. For instance i have an AMD 64 3200+ which is 2.2ghz (which means it performs like a pentium 4 3.2ghz), and in my parents computer they have an Intel p4 3.2 ghz processor. So in theory the Intel should perform faster because it has a higher clockspeed, but since the internal architecture of the AMD is designed differently (mainly the 1600mhz fsb), it is able to achieve faster speeds and more calculations. My AMD which is only 2.2ghz scored on average 500-800 points higher in pcmark05 and 3dmark05 than my parents intel which is 3.2 ghz.
Basically what im saying is that with your pc, dont expect to be able to do alot of gaming especially because of the videocard you have. Im not trying to flame, im just stating the facts.
