I recently started getting into multiplayer on Halo 3 for the first time after playing a lot of Call of Duty and I can't seem to improve. In Call of Duty the more I play with better people, the better I get because I learn good flanking routes and positions or how counter their strategy with my own. However, with Halo 3 it feels like a constant mesh of choas making me run around like a chicken with my head cut off. A typical game of Lone Wolves ends with me angry because I got matched up with a couple of lvl 40+ elite MLG spawn snipers, leaving me no chance of improving my game. I usually stand my own ground with guys legitimately near my skill level, but there's gotta something noobish I can pull off to combat them. I know the basics like the BR 3 to the body 1 to the head, combos with grenades and stuff, and the AR spray and pray.

This thread would have appealed to me more if it was written with crayons.

I broke one of the cords for my X11s because I couldn't get past the final American course in Doritos Crash Course.

Everyone seems to use Bumber Jumper as a control layout - it helps you aim while you jump. I dont use it cos I couldnt be bothered getting used to it - but if you really want to improve I imagine getting used to this control scheme will help.

Rule 6: Respect the Admins

“It’s their website, and they can do whatever the hell they like with it. You’re a guest, and hassling them about how they run things is akin to going round your Auntie’s house and curling one out in her tea-pot.”

Too late to matter. Halo 3 will be mostly empty t=minus 14 days.

Well I'm trying to get better with the sensitivity and controls so I can stand a chance at Reach.

And I've been thinking about the bumper jumper control scheme, but I didn't know until now how it could be an advantage.

_W0rking my way to MLG

play beat it get all the skulls and get live

Play more...
Learn where everything spawns
-long range weapons
-power weapons
-EVERY weapon
-power up spawns
-common player spawn points
-Watch your radar (I'm assuming you're not playing MLG lol)
-Learn the layout of the map and common camping spots to be aware of
-Use a mic in multiplayer and listen to what more seasoned players have to say

Lots of stuff you can do to improve, but honestly just practice.

If you really want to get good watch pro vod on MLG or watch Fileshare gameplay of people who are better than you. Also watching your own games in theater can help you find stupid mistakes in your gameplay.

Am I banging a dog in a ditch or am I Paki Rambo???

Play customs with players better than you and imo if you want 2 get better, I would go into MLG and just play that constantly for a while.

It improves everything and i'm sure most will agree that you should see a noticeable difference in skill after playing a lot of MLG.

-Use a mic in multiplayer and listen to what more seasoned

Thanks for the tips, I've always wanted to get more in tune with player spawn points and my radar, but I've only had luck with that on simple maps like Narrows and Citadel. Most seasoned players are in parties and the last thing a seasoned player told me was "Are you guys ready to get pooped on?" lol and that he did.

If they're good it will. You can learn a lot by watching how other people get kills. Don't be stupid.

You learn by watching other peoples gameplay, fair enough, I agree with that.

You DO NOT learn by watching a montage, all you see in a montage is 10 second slots in which the player gains an overkill/exterm, how does that help anyone?

Don't be stupid :)

I guess your partially right in that aspect. Both are beneficial, but full gameplay would help you more.

x Foman123 x- if you were a prostitute, you'd be in the low $100/hr range. If you don't believe me, head on over to backpage and do some price shopping.

heres why im not trying to bash cod but most of the time when you shoot somebody they dont have time to react to it and you end up killing them. Halo on the other hand there are more factors involved like strafing and even when you get first shot on someone they still have the chance to out br you due to the fact they may know what they are doing or they are lucky.
