You should play Halo CE then, that's about all you hear 'Wort wort wort'. I don't remember many worts in H2 though.

That's pretty much all I hear in Halo 2's Campaign.

Halo 2 for Life!

Yeah, I find it funney that I didn't notice their strange grunts and worts in H2 until I watched it back on film. When they get stuck it's pretty funney as well. Nice talking point.

This whole ting almost killed my H-2 experience. The old, backwards voice Elites were ominous...but suddenly Chief can understand them in 2... It seemed really lame, and the Elites sounded like Muppets. Terrible. The "Wort" was a kind of a small easter egg for 3. Run run run.

What is strange is that i have played H2 for years.
it is my favorite, the best story twist eva
now ive never heard this until yesterday, but i was playing COOP with my friend. we were on the 2nd arbiter mission, were the flood is, the Heretic?
any way we were on the elevator part, slow piece o -blam!-, and whenever(sometimes) an elite flood form would show up the elites would say the novelty "Wort" 3 times.
WTF MY DREAMS HAVE COME TRUE!!!
and one more thing, why do the elites scream something like "Standford" what are they saying?
ps not tryin to spam but i write halo fanfic feel free to read mine. its realy good. i have given copies to 50+ people and not a single ounch of bad criticism

Yeah, you got your spam in but you seem alright. I don't know for sure but I always thought the Elite was saying "Stand-firm", as if to rally the troups and such.

"Stand firm" indeed. Can anyone believe that the clownbeasts at OXM claim that the Grunts somehow "Learned English" ? Why would an alien species that looks down on humanity "learn English" ? I always thought that Chief could understand Grunts via Cortana's works. And in 2, Chief could understand Elites through her greater appreciation. Geez, guys...a little nerd in your construction...

What or who is OXM?

Yeah, I doubt all the covenant took an English class. Heh, can you imagine a bunch of Grunts sitting in a classroom studying their ABC's?

Official Xbox Magazine. See their horrible review for the "unusable" campaign Gauss Warthog. Come on, guys, play the game a hair and then comment. Pathetic.

Indeed, Cortana's snap-finger translation of the prophets song should have clued at least some of the idiots in.

Well, on the topic of Halo 2 elites. I actually liked the elite voices of Halo 2, their voices and words often depicted them as zealous, somewhat honorable creatures, perfectly defining what the Covenant is.

Lol I totally forgot about Cortana's universal translation ability. That really does explain why we can understand elites in halo 2, especially with the conversation with the arbiter and gravemind present.

All the wars I can think of had interpreters. A whole army does not learn the language of the enemy as far as I know.

Thank you, Grumpy. Knowing an enemy's language and using it in your own personal endeavors are far from the same thing.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

I wish they would be in all games. You don't even hear them say it in Halo: Reach as well.

Hell, I would pay $40 just to hear elites say "wort wort wort" over and over!
