Halo: CE Anniversary Achievement Idea
C-C-C-CANNON BREAKER!
Let Sgt. Johnson die on Halo.

Hey all, I recently jumped back into Halo PC, but I've had some trouble. I have my 360 controller all set up to use, but the movement in multiplayer is odd. When I push forward my left thumb stick just a little, my Spartan runs at full speed. In the Xbox versions (and even the Halo PC Campaign), the Spartan is supposed to move according to how much you push the left thumb stick. It works fine in Campaign, but the multiplayer makes me run at full speed. It's only annoying because when I try to strafe, I do that at full speed as well and screw up my shot.

Anyone know a way to help fix this? Thanks!

I've been known on here to defend Reach a lot but I in no way think Reach is perfect. If you say "Reach is horrible, halo is ruined" I'll give you the same extremest attitude right back down your throat. Say "Reach could be better if..." I'll have a nice discussion with you.

You can't because when they made the game they thought it would be unfair to have gamepad users have an advantage over keyboard users. I think it does the same in H2 vista, I'll have to get on later and see.

Hmmm I never noticed that, I just got used to the mouse and keyboard for Halo PC. Now H2V is different, I HAVE to use a 360 controller or I can't play lol. And as far as I can tell H2V with a controller acts like the Xbox version, push a little forward and you move slow.

That`s the deadzone. Because you can`t edit the deadzone settings in Halo PC, unfortunately, you can`t use the 360 controller.

Well, it does work completely fine in Campaign. When I barely push it, I barely move. I guess you guys are right though. It may just be to make online play more fair. :)

Thanks for the help guys!

If you play any AAA shooter on the console you'll notice that if you put your reticule on an enemy and they move you'll actually follow them a little automatically. This is referred to as "magnetism" in games, pc games normally don't have this.

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

Fix'd.
