UNSC Super MAC's: Don't Blink, You'll Miss It, Boom, Headshot, I'm Gutted!, Green as Grass, Loosener, In Space...
Engraved on UNSC Super MAC Defensive Platform In Space... there is a strictly against regulation engravement on it's main barrel. It reads: ...No one can hear your hull shred.
This gross misconduct was excused by Fleet Admiral Lord Hood himself on a compulsory visit to all the Super MAC arrays in UNSC controlled space.
UNSC Hole in One was severely damaged in a two-front battle near the beginning of the Covenant war. Insurrectionists were mostly unaware of the Covenant threat looming, due to ONI shrouding the facts. An Innie battlegroup was waiting for Hole in One during a sweep of an asteroid field near Harvest's system, scanning for Covenant hostiles. They were ambushed by the Innies, and took a MAC round through her below decks.
As if on cue, a Covenant corvette emerged from behind an asteroid, and fired upon Hole in One. Hole in One fired all 26 pods of her Archer missiles into the Innie battlegroup. She destroyed 95% of the battlegroup, which equates to about 15 ships. The Corvette launched its plasma torpedos at Hole in One, melting through 90% of decks, and depressurizing all decks, minus reactor levels, MAC service levels, and the bridge. The SF drive was offline, and her reactor's coolant lines were entirely missing, minus one line. Her Mac gun was operable.
She fired her double shot MAC gun with heavy rounds.
The Covenant Corvette had thought Hole in One was dead in the water, and had powered down it's shields. The double MAC rounds punctured plasma lines, and atomized the corvette.
Afterwards, her captain had his ship repaired. The repair and refit crew of UNSC Here's Your Bill painted the list of repairs on the aft port plate of the destroyer in white block letters. The list was so extensive, that it barely fit on the quarter kilometer long plate. It was excused by Vice Admiral Stanforth.
