I'll tell you why I replayed the clips. Because most people are not intelligent enough to catch the lag in those clips believe it or not. I wanted it to be painfully obvious to everyone what was being dealt with. I didn't want anyone to say "I didn't see any lag out of the ordinary." or "that wasn't lag at all."
And to those saying "OMG U HAD LEIK 3 GAEMZ WIT LAG N U MAED A MONTASH HAHA". I used 3 different accounts to use the render points I had at that time to render the video. It's not for lack of material believe me.
If you want it painfully obvious, you could have done much different approaches than playing the exact same clip in the exact same way, only doing it slower. That doesn't emphasize anything in particular. It's just showing the same part of the same clip.
You can draw circles around people, put in comments into the video, something, but "emphasizing" as you did makes the video a chore to watch. After every clip I was thinking "Ok, I see. Please don't make me watch this again..." It's extremely frustrating especially since the lag was already painfully obvious. The clips had people disappearing in them for crying out loud. Saying you needed to emphasize the video to that extent is only insulting the intelligence of all your potential viewers and, quite honestly, if they are stupid enough to need to see it twice you won't convince them anyway.
On topic I still think lag sucks, but I don't think it's entirely avoidable. Bungie is already taking out the projectiles and making most things hitscan, but other than that the positions of where the Spartans are and such will still be dropped. With the wide range of connections out there I would never expect lag to be nonexistant, especially in a game like Halo 3 where accuracy is so important.

No I mean Bungie's matchmaking. Probably the worst necode for an online shooter in the history of gaming. Halo 2 hitscan worked just fine whereas Halo 3 is terrible with lag, and given that the matchmaking "prefer good connection" option doesnt do anything, its really Bungie at fault.
CLEARLY somebody never played Gears of War 2... Granted, not a FPS, but the netcode is the worst of all games I've played.
Moreover, CoD lags a lot, but the guns are so wildly inaccurate it's hard to tell. Halo 3 differs from most games in its accuracy which is very important. Most games don't make accuracy mean quite as much, but in Halo it does, which is why any and all lag stands out so much. The netcode itself is actually quite good given how so many people still find it enjoyable online.
