Subject: save this film question

sorry if this is already a thread but i didnt see any others with my question.

and that is, do you have to actually win to unlock the "save this film" acheivement if your playing in a FFA playlist? the reason i ask is that you still gain exp if your in the top few positions (and not first). so it sort of seems like it would count as a win in second or third place as long as you dont die... maybe one of you can help me with this

Only 1st place is considered a win. 2nd place and below does not count as a win.

I don't think so, since you still get EXP, I'd consider it a win.

I think you have to get first place, but it can be on team slayer, which should make it much easier. I don't know if you have to have the most points of everyone on your team.

But the system itself doesn't consider it a win.

Exp Point =/= Win

Getting 3rd place in a Lone Wolves match can actually cause you to rank down, despite gaining an Exp point. Just because you consider it a win, doesn't mean that it's true. I can say going 49-50 against a team of MLG Pros is a win, but in actuality, it's a loss.

The difference is the game only gives you EXP if you win, normally. The game gives you EXP for second and third places in FFA, so it should count as a win. Scientific reason says it should.

You have to come in first place to win and thus get the perfection.

have any of you actually gotten (or not gotten) a perfection without getting first place in a FFA playlist? or are you just reasoning?

to get a Perfection in Team games (slayer) you have to be on the winning team, likewise, to get the perfection in FFA you have to place 1st

While that may or may not be correct, it's faulty logic. Top half "wins" in FFA. It can still result in ranking down if anyone who placed above you was a lower rank. Therefore, it's counted as a loss against those people, and a win overall. I do not know the answer to this question, but I think it would be much easier to do in a team game because you'll have teammates to back you up/ protect you, and you'll clearly either win or lose.
