I'm in Canada and I don't get any events, scince I'm in Nova Scotia, and nothing happens in the maritimes. The only places in Canada that get anything good is Toronto and Vancouver. And that gets annoying after awhile.

I live in Ohio. This is like the furthest place in the contiguous US from any demos. Too far away from California, New York, and Dallas. Download stuff on Fileplanet, like the trailers and stuff. Its almost as good, and its free.

Its still spoken here too. We are forced ot learn it and some places speak nothing but it and we got lots of irish stations too. And we didnt steal your language, this language was invented by us which the celts learned which they spread around some of europe, mainly scotland. And it is dead in the way that no big race speak it, same with some other languages, some people learn it and speak it, but not enough to consider it a still running language so its considered a dead language.

Well, ignoring the fact that about 70% of this thread is turning into spam, I would say that there are a LOT of people in the same boat as you. Even though there are several events in the US, it doesn't change the fact that the US is almost the size of Europe. Those of us who live in places like Louisiana have never seen any attention from the gaming community. It's just as much a struggle for many people here in the US to get any gaming action... well, maybe not QUITE as much of a struggle:)

P.S.
You know how us Americans are the "mutts" of the world. A couple of my ancestors where Irish:)

It's all about numbers. How many Xbox and Halo units were sold in the U.K. vs. Ireland?

P.S. Halo 2 or not, Ireland rocks.

-actully if you read some of the history behind it,irish people are scottish people, and scottish people are just norse settlers,we invented gaelic, then some of us went and crossed over to ireland, and thats how you's all speak it too

sorry if im affending you but i get up in arms sometimes over my country and what it's created, like the tv for example

-blam!- the UK

Racism like that is gonna get you banned. That would be a shame for someone who has been a member for 4 days...

Anyway these things aren't that big of a deal, only a few people will actually be able to go, what we really care about is when Halo 2 comes out. Even if I went (and I am desparatly trying to) there is little chance I would get to play Halo 2. All I'm saying is that the over here in the UK we really aren't that priveliged, as many people even in America have the same problem. However, they do get Halo 2 two days earlier, which is actually tempting me to buy a NTSC xbox (or a mod chip) and order it from America so I might get it a day or two early.

Look I have no problems whatsoever with Ireland, Scotland, any of you guys (i dont liek germans to be honest, but that is mostly because of the language), so please stop flaming the UK dude. And as for your complaining about us having more events and whatnot, welcome to -blam!-ville, this is EXACTLY how we feel about the yanks getting all the stuff before us. You gotta look at other peoples perspectives aswell as your own, dude.

Calm down, I'm guessing you are from the UK. Well, me too, and he wasn't being racist like some people on this thread. He was just annoyed about the fact that the UK is thought to be the main country in Europe. I don't really see that it's much of a problem, hardly anyone in the UK will get to play Halo 2 anyway, and if I was to complain about anything I woulld complain about getting Halo 2 two days late.

This is almost as funny as the argument me and an Australian had. Ours was better though. If there isn't a demo for us Canadian's what makes the Irish or whoever so important? I can imagine Bungie picked the UK because they probably have a few people who working on the game are from there.

Hey i'm not riled up abotu this or anything, i'm just saying he shouldn't be talking about the UK as if we get everything first. And I see no point in complaining about having it two days late, won't change anything, plus were used to being treated like crap. Not suprising considering we are. XD

Hey the UK isn't crap, well the whole world is now but comparatively we aren't too bad. I mean, what language do 25%+ of the world speak?

Racism doesn't have to be about being black or white, it can be saying I hate Mexicans etc. (I don't really hate Mexicans, infact I have never even met one, just thought I'd add this incase people started winging)

But yeah I think the rest of Europe deserves osme recognition, Just because tony blair is bumming george buch, doesnt mean the US has to treat the UK special

theres no need to bring that -blam!- in here and there is a event coming up in Germany but im not sure whether you can play halo 2 there. And the UK by no means get special treatment ,were still waiting for Riddick and black arrow.

here in the Netherlands (hello, i'm dutch!!!) we got one gaming event, and alot of producers are here, but why not bungie? Bungie!!! WE MISS YOU!!!!!! why aren't you coming to the Power Unlimited Gameplay event? it would be 10 times better (and more expensive) if you guys would be there.

btw the Netherlands and the U.K. are the (according to me) only real gaming country's in europe, in every game i come, i see tons of em. and i rarely see someone from France, Italy or Spain coming in.

and about the U.S.,
it depends where you live in the U.S, if you live in, for example Ohio, you won't get as many events as if you were living in California. don't forget that.
