Many times when playing games that keep stats I'll find that people will leave the game once they start losing just so they have good stats. Also, people -blam!- about their stats and brag about them. I think it might be better if there were no stats just to make MP games simply about winning or losing, and then it stopping there. I know most won't agree with me but maybe I can find a few people who think as I do. (Speculation, won't know till Nov 9, don't -blam!-/flame)

You will most likely beable to play in "practice game" or "Unranked games" till you get good enough to want to play in a ranked game. I think it will be awesome.

In Myth, dropping out of a ranked game like that could earn a banning from ranked games for up to a week.

Secondly, in Myth, there were rooms for ranked games and roomed for unranked, so if you didnt want to play a ranked game you didnt have to.

Wait... what if you had to really leave urgently? That would suck... but it would keep people from not doing it...
I think the best solution would be the recording of stats when you leave (or periodicly like every 5 minutes in a game), so no matter what it still records the stats.

Cheese is good, when cheese is needed :)

Clan: The Beekeepers
Gamertag - DeathDefi
Rank: Col.
"Crewmember since 2004"

I don't think it will matter because after a while i'm sure they will wipe the stats clean so someone from the bottom of the chain can float to the top :) . It's X-box live's policy.

lol. I've never played any previous Bungie games. I used to think Myth was that game I used to play with those blue and red books and that library that was in the simpsons and that clock tower. I actually figured the combination for thing by just a random guess. I now know that was Myst.

You know what would be funny? If when you first pop in Halo 2 it asks you if you want to keep stats. If you say no then whenever someone trys to look up your stats it just says, "Stats are -blam!-." Halo 2 would make game of the year just for that.

In Myth there were resets where points were taken from only certain gametypes, like CTF or king of the hill.

Why can't you just choose to keep your stats hidden in game? People can look them up later, but it helps against suck-nonsuck discrimination.

--Dude, don't say -blam!-. That's just homophobic, and thats way worse.

  • 08.10.2004 1:01 AM PDT

i find your -blam!- refrence very offensive toward people who really dont deserve any discrimination.

Halo 2 is a competitive game. And good way compare urself is with stats. It's like playing basketball and shoot free throws and ur precentage is falling one day because ur missing terribly. Would u quit or say no I dont want to quit i want to keep shooting so my stats will fall lower and lower. A smart person will quit. And if u have good stats why not brag to someone who sux. O well if the other guy is going to fell mad about a person bragging it is just a game people. And me and every other good player loves stats. So if u hate stats go play a game without stats like.... wait every game xbox live game has stats so why dont u go outside and get a life?

Ok, I don't understand your comment. You insult people who play Halo 2 too much, but yet you are practically drooling over a value that shows other people how much you play the game.

Haven't you played live? To get "Good" stats, it's not how you play, it's how much you play.

"And if u have good stats why not brag to someone who sux" That's not cool. You can trach talk, but bragging to someone you've never played against just because of a number is dumb.

And you are one of the people who is terrible at the game, you openly state "Would u quit or say no I dont want to quit i want to keep shooting so my stats will fall lower and lower. A smart person will quit"

So good for you, you've proved your point. You're the best at killing players much weaker than yourself.
