The case says "Blood & Gore" but other then dismembering the bodies of the Flood species I see no other reason for this rating. A more appropriate rating would've been T or M (for the swearing)

Blood? (Every time you shoot someone)

Gore? (Only on the flood)

Do you think 'Blood & Gore was a just rating?

I enjoy playing all the halo games and have beat them all on Lengendary, whoo hoo. :P

A Mature rating was appropiate.

Dragon Ball GT is the bane of my existence
I love Pokemon, Dragon Ball, DBZ, and DBK
"Where did you get that muffin?"
"Muffin button."
'But I didn't install a muffin button."
"Then where did I get this muffin?"

If your +17 why should you care or are you 12?

Nah I'm 18, I was just curious as to why they gave it "M" rating. When the only "gore" is really in the flood levels.

The quantity doesn't matter, it is still in there and it is very noticeable.

Eat, Sleep, Row

I fail to see your logic there. Even if there is gore in a few levels it is still in the game, so M.

  • 09.05.2010 4:14 PM PDT

What logic, I wasn't referring to logic I was asking because there was so few gore moments why it was rated "M". The poster above you clearly explained what I needed to hear where as you tried and failed.

Onyx pre-season! That's all that matters.

Current United States Marine Corps Poolee/Recruit

Most, if not all, First-person Shooters are rated "M" by default. There are some that are "T" and they are few and far between. Its the US and their ESRB Big Brother shenanigans.

halo is all i play oh

Well ESRB does typically rate all shooters with blood M, but when a game has gore, regardless of how much, it wouldn't be appropriate to rate it T.

In my opinion, if you're in the range of 13-16, you should be able to handle/play M rated games.

Isn't 13-16 "T". "M" is rated for games that have body parts physics mainly. If you can shoot off an arm then its "M". Flood are the main, if not ONLY, reason that they have it as "M". That and I think Cortana was a little "too-detailed" from H:CE and H2.

I know, I'm just saying they have a rating and the government wants to make parent's "more aware" of the games they are paying for 8yr old Johnny. In my opinion, I want them to say "NO YOU CANNOT HAS TEH GAME CUZ JOOR KID IS TOO YUNG!". My opinion though.

The gore is when someone dies the scream like (whaaaaaaaaa) and (ooooooooooh ooooh aah aaah)

If a movie has "only a few XXX moments," should it be rated as 13A for the content in the rest of the movie?

It's not about how much is there, it's the fact that it's there at all.

"Online interactions are not rated by the ESRB," MM has nothing to do with the rating.

Thats like saying a kids game with one level where you have a chain saw and kill zombies should be rated E
