I like Halo, and everything about it.
"A hero need not speak, for when he is gone, the world shall speak for him."
Now that it has been pretty much one year since ODST's release, I look back on it and think, what was the point?
I mean, it offered no multiplayer values, nothing new really besides campaign and firefight, which people did not really care for other than for achievements.
And two of the biggest reasons why people bought it, was because you could acquire Recon armor through the game's achievements, and the new Mythic map pack was included as well.
Sure, the storyline was good, and i really loved playing it the first time through, but it really did not offer anything. I thought it was cool that all of that happened after the Covenant Cruiser departed through Slipspace, but in reality, i do not think anyone cared about what happened in the city [i] after[i] the jump.
It was cool to witness what battling like an ODST feels like, but other than that, nothing new really came into play, besides the new-at-the-time firefight game mode.
If there was a multiplayer format where everyone battled on new maps with ODSTs, that would have been alot better. But i mean, the new guns they created for the game didnt even reach multiplayer either, so really, what [i]was[i] the point?
In my opinion, i think it was just pretty much "throwing a bone" so to speak, to Halo players out there, and to give them something new, and also, to just make some extra money. And i cannot forget, to open their cases, and see the Halo: Reach multiplayer invitation inside as well
